A ‘Major’ unannounced title coming from Capcom this financial year

Capcom have released their latest business overview document, which talks about the companies plans leading up to March 31st 2018, and amongst the dull strategies is the mention of a “Major title” that Capcom plan to release within this financial year.

You know what that means, speculation time!

Something Resident Evil related, Dragon’s Dogma perhaps, Devil May Cry? The possibilities are numerous, but I guess we’ll have to wait until Capcom officially announce something. Roll on E3.

Another Mega Man Legacy Collection on its way soon

Could we be seeing a second collection of Mega Man games on Xbox One soon? It looks like it!

The Korean Ratings Board has outed Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for Xbox One, with the description telling us that it’ll include Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10 – according to gematsu.com‘s translation. Nothing official from Capcom as of yet.

We’re excited at the prospect, considering how much we enjoyed the first Mega Man Legacy Collection, reviewed back in August 2015.

Bethesda tease their E3 showcase with an image

Much like last year, Bethesda have gone and released a tantalising image to tease their E3 showcase this year.

The image tells us it’ll al kick off on June 11 at 1830 PT (0230 June 12 for us Brits), but otherwise the image doesn’t offer many hints. We see Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Prey, Quake, Doom and Dishonored amongst the cute art but nothing else. Oh well, we’ll have to wait for the inevitable E3 leaks then stay up way past our bed times to confirm it all when E3 comes around.

Official Tour de France 2017 game announced

Focus Home Interactive have announced the official Tour de France 2017 video game will release June this year on Xbox One.

With Tour de France 2017, experience all the passion of Le Tour de France and conquer the coveted yellow jersey! Play as the greatest riders on the gorgeous roads of La Grande Boucle: attack, give orders to your teammates, choose the best trajectory, manage your stamina and make the decisions that will lead your team all the way to the top!

In this exciting Tour, race through time-trial stages at Düsseldorf and Marseille, before mythical mountains climbs such as le Galibier and l’Izoard, until the great finale on the Champs-Elysées. The pace of the race, stamina management, climbs and descents have been recalibrated to provide improved realism and immersion. Take advantage of key areas such as windy sections that can generate bordures. Play a full stage in real-time or accelerated x16, play the key-areas only, or even skip the stage entirely. An enhanced AI system means the challenge is also greater now, along with the risk of being disqualified if you finish a stage outside of time limit.

Players will now be able to form clans in order to join other members of the community to organize competitions, chat and compare achievements in-game. This edition features improved realism with regards to race tempo, rider speeds, sophisticated AI, as well as the management of stamina and preparation. Players also now have the ability to set riders in a paceline at anytime during the race, to protect and prepare them ahead of key-areas. A revamped progression system has been introduced in Pro Cyclist mode – fulfil the objectives given by your manager to progress within your team and beyond!

For Honor Season 2 coming May 16

Ubisoft have announced that For Honor Season Two, Shadow and Might, will launch on May 16th.

Shadow and Might will bring new content to For Honor, including two additional heroes, two extra maps, new customisation items and gameplay updates. Maps and gameplay updates will be free for all players at the start of Season Two. New heroes, the lethal Shinobi and the fierce Centurion, will be available for free immediately for Season Pass holders on May 16th, while all other players will be able to unlock them with their in-game Steel on May 23rd.

In the war between the three deadly factions, Knights, Vikings and Samurai, two new Heroes enter the battlefield:

•Shinobi (Samurai Assassin) – The Shinobi are silent warriors able to move with a dancer’s grace and kill with precision thanks to a lifetime of disciplined training. They wield the traditional Japanese Kusarigama.

•Centurion (Knight Hybrid) – The Centurion sees the battlefield like a chessboard. Equipped with the reliable standard issue gladius, Centurions can bypass enemy defences through strategic close-quarters combat.

The two new maps, Forge and Temple Garden, will expand upon the selection of multiplayer battlefields. Additionally, Season Two will introduce a new level of gear rarity – Epic gear – that will increase the maximum gear score along with a balancing overhaul for the entire gear stats system.

Coinciding with the end of Season One, a new title update (Update 1.06) was released on Windows PC to improve network stability while introducing new gameplay changes and hero balancing. The update is planned to release on consoles very shortly. For Honor will continue to be supported post-launch with additional content and consistent gameplay balancing updates.
