It was revealed that Eidos Montreal are the team behind the development of the multiplayer aspect of Square Enix’s Tomb Raider.
The latest Official Xbox Magazine reveals that the game will include three multiplayer modes, including Team Deathmatch, Rescue and Cry For Help.
In “Rescue” mode, you will play as either a survivor or a scavenger. Survivors must collect medpacks and deliver them to locations on the map, while scavengers must do what they can to stop them by amassing a high kill count. Players will be able to revive their team mates due to the addition of bleed out time, reminiscent of Gears of War. They were non-descriptive as to what “Cry For Help” is, although it has been reported that “the emphasis is on discovery and collection”.
The multiplayer modes will include an XP system, as well as a wide array of characters to choose from.
Square Enix’s Tomb Raider will be released March 5th worldwide.
