Ladies and gentlemen, we have quite the treat for all of you. Because out of nowhere, several YouTube users have taken it upon themselves to reveal the debut trailer for the latest game in the brilliant Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Assassin’s Creed IV, which is known as “Black Flag” has only just been announced by Ubisoft after a string of news outlets had already outed the game itself. It appears that they are yet to plug the so called “leak” as much like the announcement, this trailer really did rise up out of nothing. It’s either negligence at its worst, or an excellent marketing ploy.
Now there are many things revealed within this trailer, the most important of which is the actual release date. October 29th, 2013. It has also been revealed that the game will be released on both current, and next gen consoles. Also solidifying other rumours that the new Xbox will be out in October.
So we know exactly when and what console we will begin our pirate-like excursions. Oh, that’s right, we know exactly who our pirate is now. As the trailer begins with Blackbeard describing the exploits of a particular assassin-like pirate. Our new pirate hero is Edward Kenway. You may recognise the name. Edward Kenway is the father of Haythem Kenway, and the grandfather of Ratohnhaké ton, whom we know more personally as Connor.
Enjoy the trailer while it lasts, we’re under the assumption that Ubisoft will have caught wind of this fast travelling news and will attempt to flag each video for deletion.
Anyway check it out below:
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is (supposedly) due for an October 29th release on the Xbox 360, and the Xbox 720/8/Infinity.
