Living in the midst of rural East Anglia I grew up in a farming family, with my Dad, Grandad and multiple Uncles all plying their trade as farmers. So, I am very excited to follow in their footsteps and play Pure Farming 2018!
Pure Farming 2018, which has been developed by Ice Flames and published by Techland Publishing, is the newly-named first installment in the Pure Farming franchise, slated for release in early 2018, and aims to bring the genre to greener pastures with a variety of fresh features, official brands, global settings, unique crops, and much more.
Featuring realistic models of licensed and crop-specialised machines from brands such as McCormick, Zetor, Landini and Mitsubishi, diverse regions within North America, Italy, Japan and Colombia, and unique crops including olives, rice and industrial hemp, the harvest is going global, and Pure Farming 2018 bets the farm on delivering the widest range of activities ever seen by the farming simulation genre.
“We have spent the last few months really stepping up our game – we listened to our fans, to farm sim players, and the farming community, and they gave us sage advice,” said Tomasz Gawlikowski, International PR & Marketing Director of Pure Farming 2018. “We took notes, learned a lot, and managed to get even more great brands involved. We know the exact direction we are taking, and plan on bringing the best ever farming experience simultaneously to PC and consoles.”
I have to admit i didn’t know an awful lot about Epic Games new IP “Fortnite”, but after watching the trailer and learning more about the game, this is now slap bang in the middle of my radar! Fortnite launches on Xbox on July 25th in the early access Game Preview program.
In Fortnite, players team up to build massive forts and battle against hordes of monsters, all while crafting and looting within giant worlds where no two games are ever the same. With E3 looming, Epic Games debuted a new gameplay trailer highlighting Fortnite’s unique mix of exploration, building, defense, and combat.
“Bringing Fortnite to life has been a true labor of love by a talented and dedicated team over many years,” says Darren Sugg, Creative Director on Fortnite. “We’re excited to share the experience and start playing along with more gamers in Early Access this summer.”
Fortnite Founders Packs give players entry to the Early Access Season, access to exclusive in-game events in 2017, and offers a huge value on stuff like Heroes, loot, weapons, and in-game boosts. Players who pre-order a Founder’s Pack will get a four-day head start beginning on July 21, along with the exclusive Storm Master Weapon Pack. Additionally, Epic Games has partnered with Gearbox Publishing to distribute a boxed retail version of the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The staff here at TiX just love E3. In fact we view it as our Christmas Days and Birthdays all rolled into one, with the promise of all the new shiny games that are coming in the next few months (and sometimes years).
But the week before E3 can bring leaks, and the rumour mill definitely moves into overdrive. So, I asked the team what they want, need and expect to find in Santa’s bulging sack of E3 announcements in 2017!
Just to point out that we are currently as clueless as an Elf as to the content of this years show, there’s no insider knowledge in what we are predicting, but if we get a few things right then its obviously because we are extremely clever! Oh, and one or two of us may possess a magical time machine!
Microsoft to announce a new Fable game is in development – Obviously Fable Legends was canned in 2016, but can MS let this amazing IP die? My bet (hope) is that Rare is secretly working on it.

Peter Molyneux returns to announce Fable Legends because its no longer cancelled.
Pie in the Sky would be Elder Scrolls 6… Especially now they’ve released Morrowind for ESO
I agree that we’ll see something new about the new Crackdown, but there still won’t be a release date anytime soon.
Bungie will announce the date for the Destiny 2 beta, but PS4 will have early access to it.

Despite the studio and the Hitman IP being put up for sale by Square Enix, developer IO Interactive have announced the June content coming for Hitman. My game of the year in 2016 continues to be supported, which given the woes at the Danish studio, does come as a bit of a surprise.
The content includes two Escalation Contracts: The Spaggiari Subversion in Sapienza’s “Landslide” bonus mission and The Asya Attunement in Bangkok, along with another Elusive Target, which continue to be the most enjoyable and nerve-wracking missions in the game. IO have called this 25th target the penultimate one, which will be available in late June and set in Hokkaido, Japan. There will also be another 10 featured contracts added plus a mandatory game update which IO says “This update will be mandatory for all players and we’re very excited to talk about what it includes. Full release notes and exact timings for this update will also be shared as we get closer to its release date”.
Heres hoping that IO and the Hitman series can find a new owner very soon, giving that development is well under way for season 2, scheduled for release in 2018. Phil Spencer?
Keep an eye out on the This Is Xbox YouTube page for my attempt of the elusive target once it becomes live!

The dictionary defines being Extinct as died, no longer exists, destroyed or defunct, but that definition does not apply to new IP “Extinction” from Iron Galaxy Studios and Maximum Games as today’s announcement is the new beginning for this title!
If you’ve heard of a certain game called Destiny then you will be aware of the work of Iron Galaxy Studios. They were put together in 2008, primarily to assist on other developers games in porting them to other platforms. However they were the developers for the Xbox Kinect game “Wreckateer”.
“As far back as anyone can remember, humanity has been at war with itself. For generations, kingdoms have fought amongst themselves while the real threat loomed in the distance. Only those trained in the ways of the ancient order stand a chance at defeating the 150-foot-tall ogres and the armies that trail in their wake.”
You are one of the world’s last sentinels, a soldier named Avil, equipped with the skills to battle the endless wave of Ravenii.
In Extinction, you’ll fight massive ogres and their minions across a sprawling countryside, defending cities and rescuing native villagers torn from their homes. Swiftly define your strategy as hordes attack from the ground and air. Use the dynamic skill-based combat system to your advantage, tactically disarming and dismembering enemies before going in for the kill.
“Extinction is 100% power and adrenaline,” said Kraig Kujawa, Game Director at Iron Galaxy. “We’re really happy with the fast, fluid feel of the game and we’re looking forward to showing it behind closed doors at E3!”
“As the protagonist tasked with a huge undertaking – both in fighting enormous ogres and saving humans from disaster – each player’s experience will be varied, as the landscapes and battle situations are never identical,” said Derek Neal, Executive Producer at Maximum Games.
Deep Story Campaign. Protect the human population across an abundant story campaign, rescuing as many civilians as possible and taking down brutal opponents.
Dynamic Side Missions. Complete numerous side missions with various objectives, earning upgrades to aid you in your campaign.
Skill-Based Combat. Travel horizontally and vertically, perform wall runs, and use your whip as a vault to perform devastating air assaults. Master dynamic combat maneuvers to effectively traverse the giant beasts and expose their weak points, progressing along different skill trees to develop a path best suited to your playstyle.
Interactive Environment. Move freely around a fully destructible environment, and use objects throughout the world to your strategic advantage.
Innumerable Battle Scenarios. Every battlefield is different from the last, ensuring a unique combat situation each time you play.
Custom Battles. Create unique battlegrounds with varied objectives, and challenge players online to compete for the top score.
Extinction Mode. Fight off a continuous horde of assailants as wave after wave of ogres and their minions attack without relent.
No release date has been announced yet but Extinction will be shown behind closed doors at E3 next week.
