Remember may last year when the XboxOne was revealed to the world? The eagle eye’d out there may have noticed the image of a Crackdown orb on one of the XboxOne’s Dashboard Panels, which struck rumors of a third Crackdown coming to XboxOne. Well, this weekend has seen Microsoft’s Phil Spencer, and Larry Hryb, along with Crackdown 2 Developers, Ruffian Games tweeting about an announcement coming later today.
Phil Spencer tweeted, “Personally going to be a good day tomorrow, looking forward to a games announce coming early in the morning, fun part of the job.W
Which was then followed by Larry Hryb, XboxLive director of programming’s tweet saying, ”
Looks like I’ve got a a busy morning coming up tomorrow :)”
Then the studio behind Crackdown 2 declared that it “feels like a good day for announcements” in a tweet this morning.
As soon as anything is confirmed we’ll be sure to bring you the scoop on what MS and Ruffian have announced.
Polish developers, The Farm 51 have announced upcoming FPS ‘Get Even’. The developer behind Painkiller, and Deadfall Adventures have been using 3D scanning to create some visually stunning environments like we have never experienced before – don’t believe us? Check out the incredibly realistic looking trailer….
“As an independent developer, it would be foolish to go head-to-head with the larger companies and create a ‘me too’ knock-off, and frankly we wouldn’t be interested in doing it,” said The Farm 51 CEO, Wojtek Pazdur.
“We believe that there is still a ton of content and design creativity that has yet to be explored in first-person genre, as well as an audience beyond the warfare player – those are the people we are going for with Get Even.”
Get Even is due to land at some point in 2015 for PC, XboxOne, and PS4. We look forward to hear more about this title as the game develops over the next year.
Trademarks were found for an upcoming Alien game being developed by Creative Assembly back in October, and it seems that the game has now been officially announced as it has found itself being advertised on the Xbox Live Game Store.
The blurb on the Game Store reads, “Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother’s disappearance. As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.“
There are also five screenshots (along with the box art) which can be seen on Xbox.com.
We’re also led to believe that the game was said to feature both single-player, and four-player co-op but the latter has since been removed from the information given about the title.
*Update* – and here’s a trailer, released just a short while ago.
