The first downloadable Map Pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, “Revolution”, will be made available to download and play for free this coming weekend only up until Monday 27th May. The dlc contains four maps of Downhill, Mirage, Hydro, Grind – with the Zombie infested playground of Die Rise. Additionally the Peacekeeper hybrid assault rifle comes as a bonus.
We reviewed The Revolution dlc on the Xbox 360 when it was first released:
The Revolution Map Pack is simply an absolute must-have addition to the rotation of maps in the Multiplayer element of Black Ops 2. I’ve made no secret of my dislike for this year’s iteration in the Campaign Mode, but its saving grace was Multiplayer and the new DLC only adds to the enjoyment that can be had when you fancy a quick run-and-gun game, or something more competitive. If you like Zombies, then you can’t fault ‘Die Rise’ offering a new alternative way to play in a vertical setting.
This is the first time that temporary DLC has been offered as a try-before-you-buy, and should you enjoy the Revolution Map Pack, you will need to pay full price to continue playing after this weekend.
