Do you remember Kinect? Is yours gathering dust under the TV or in a long-forgotten drawer? Time to dig it out, as Boom Ball 2 has been announced.
Developer, Virtual Air Guitar Company, have confirmed that the sequel to the much-played Boom Ball will be released on the 21st of December, just in time for some harmless, energetic Christmas fun.
Boom Ball 2 will feature a local co-op mode, where two players stand side-by-side in front of the Kinect sensor and work together to clear each of the game’s 50 new levels. Every level can be played in either single-player or two-player mode.
Aki Kanerva, founder and Lead Designer of Virtual Air Guitar Company;
With two players, your goal is the same, but you have an extra pair of hands. Very useful when there’s a dozen balls flying around. Boom Ball 2’s merry havoc makes it a great game to play with the family on Christmas Holidays. It’s easy to learn and gets everyone up and moving.
The new title will also feature five beautiful locations, Tropical Paradise, Snowy Mountain, Crystal Caves, Cloud City and Space. Use your awesome ping-pong skills to throw balls and smash thousands of cute cubes. Bat multiple balls around the screen to earn big bonuses and quite possibly work off that Christmas dinner in the process.
It’ll soon be time to move the tree out of the way and shuffle sleepy, sprout-stuffed Grandma to the other end of the sofa.
Boom Ball 2 for Kinect will release on Xbox One on the 21st of December, priced £7.99 / $9.99 or equivalent.
