Bungie has severed ties with Marty O’Donnell, well known for creating the iconic sounds within the Halo franchise. Having worked on the sound track for Bungie’s newest shooter ‘Destiny’ alongside Sir Paul McCartney, it is not known to thisisxbox if O’Donnell was asked to discontinue his work or that all tracks have now been completed.

Bungie released the following:

For more than a decade, Marty O’Donnell filled our worlds with unforgettable sounds and soundtracks, and left an indelible mark on our fans. Today, as friends, we say goodbye. We know that wherever his journey takes him, he will always have a bright and hopeful future. We wish him luck in all his future endeavors.

Destiny is scheduled for release on September 9th 2014
