Middle Earth: Shadow of War Terror Tribe Video Released

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released a NEW video for Middle-earth: Shadow of War, showcasing the Terror tribe, a faction of Orcs who specialise in spreading fear throughout Mordor. In Shadow of War, Orcs now belong to tribes, which extend their influence stemming from the Overlords ruling the mighty fortresses throughout the open world, providing a rich ecosystem of missions, exploration and a dynamic Orc society with diverse Orc cultures, all brought to life through the expanded Nemesis System. As master tormentors, the Terror tribe rely on their infamous reputations to inspire fear among their enemies.

Set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is an open world action RPG that continues the original narrative of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Players will be engrossed in a richer, more personal and expansive world full of epic heroes and villains, iconic locations, original enemy types, more personalities and a new cast of characters with untold stories.

Burnout creators unveil Danger Zone. Crash Mode is back!

Off the back of their debut release, Dangerous Golf, Three Fields Entertainment today announced the long-awaited return of drivable destruction with Danger Zone. Set in a “virtual crash testing facility”, players are invited to drive recklessly in twenty distinct scenarios, causing as much damage and destruction as is vehicularly possible.

Danger Zone shares a lot of DNA with its equally-angry, sporty cousin, with a keen focus on physical realism in the midst of beautiful chaos. The SmashBreaker is back too, of course, equipping players with the licence to strategically detonate their vehicle, in the interest of maximum annihilation.

No word yet on an Xbox One release, but expect Danger Zone to hit Windows 10 next month.

Minecraft and Power Rangers Skin Pack

Today sees the release of the Power Rangers Skin pack for Minecraft Xbox One, Windows 10 and the Pocket Edition, for the price of £2.39.  Included in the pack are the classic Power Rangers and also a selection of cackling, evil villians, like Rita Repulsa, Bulk and Skull!

“As a teen I remember getting out of school, grabbing a snack and settling into the cartoon line-up,” explains Mike Fielder, one of the artists who worked on the skin pack. “Part of that routine was watching Power Rangers. When I found out we would be working on a Minecraft version of some of the character line-up I was pretty excited and even more so when I found out Bulk and Skull would be included since they were my favourite characters. I had a blast creating Minecraft versions of these characters. I hope everyone who uses these skins has as much fun playing them as I did creating them.”

Go go, MINEY Morphing Power Rangers!!!

Also available today is the Mini Game Masters Skin Pack on “Minecraft: Console Edition” for £1.59.

Release date confirmed for Voodoo Vince: Remastered

Voodoo Vince

Way back in 2003, on the very first incarnation of Xbox, there appeared an exclusive title. Voodoo Vince was a quirky puzzle platformer set in the magical underbelly of New Orleans. Sadly, when the original Xbox was mothballed, fans lost access to Vince and he’s been quietly waiting for an opportunity to rise again. Vince’s time is coming.

Developer, Beep Industries have today revealed a release date for the Microsoft-published Voodoo Vince: Remastered. Yes, Vince is set to return in a fully remastered title that aims to keep the quirky nature of the original release. Imagine if you own a voodoo doll, you get to tap into its strange, mysterious powers. If you are a voodoo doll, however, well, that’s when the fun really begins.

Join Vince on a wild tear through crawfish-laden swamps, haunted graveyards and the eccentric French Quarter in search of his missing keeper, Madam Charmaine. Utilise over 30 voodoo attacks to show your enemies who’s really boss. Invoke falling safes, prickly pushpins, lightning bolts and many more. You might get your backside kicked, but it’s your foes who’ll feel the pain.

Voodoo Vince: Remastered has been re-imagined in glorious 1080p with full 60fps gameplay. All of the visual effects and rendering have been updated and crammed, almost as if by some dark magic, into 16:9 aspect. Vince literally plays like butter. All of the original puzzle platforming gameplay has been preserved to be exactly as it was in the original release. It truly promises to be a nostalgia trip of epic proportions.

You’ll also be able to select soundtrack updates and remixes by Steve Kirk, the original composer for the original release. Voodoo Vince: Remastered will also promise rumble feedback, Xbox Live integration with Play Anywhere support (as it’s also coming out on Windows 10), and a whole story crammed full of sarcastic humour.

Voodoo Vince: Remastered will be showcased in the ID@Xbox area at PAX East this weekend in Boston, MA, being publicly playable for the for time.

You can get your sticky hands on the game from the 18th of April on Xbox One and Windows 10, priced $14.99 or equivalent.

Ubisoft release Ghost Recon Wildlands TV Spot ‘Ruthless’

Ubisoft have released their TV Spot for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, entitled “Ruthless”. This action-packed piece has been directed by the legendary John McTiernan (Die Hard, Predator) depicts the Ghosts’ first mission in Bolivia, where they will try to take down the Santa Blanca cartel.

This TV Spot is not the first work by John McTiernan for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, having also directed the unique Red Dot live trailer, released earlier this year and which revealed an interesting relationship between a red dot, a cat and… Cartel members. While Red Dot shows the merciless efficiency of the Ghosts, Ruthless shows the cruelty of the Cartel.

You can watch Red Dot below:

Players will be able to take on the Cartel themselves from today as the Open Beta for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is now live until February 27th. This Open Beta introduces players to two provinces from amongst the 21 available in the game: Itacua, a flourishing and mountainous region, where the grip of the cartel is looser, allows players to perfect their sniping skill and become acquainted to the Wildlands. Montuyoc, set in the snowy Altiplano and the second province available in this Open Beta, is much more challenging as it hosts Santa Blanca elite training centres.

Cities: Skylines coming to Xbox One this spring

Publisher Paradox Interactive have today announced that Cities: Skylines, the hugely popular PC city management game, will release for Xbox One this spring.

Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition will be ported by Tantalus Media and optimised for play on a controller, allowing you to build and manage everything from small towns to sprawling metropolitan cities. Along with the core Cities: Skylines game, the Xbox One Edition will also include Cities: Skylines – After Dark, the game’s first expansion, which adds tourism and nightlife options to the feature list.

Paradox is a company that’s proud to publish and support ‘niche’ games, and we’re happy to be able to bring those specialized experiences to console as well.

said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive.

Cities: Skylines has built one of the biggest and most active communities we’ve seen among Paradox’s fans, and that’s saying a lot. We can’t wait to welcome Xbox One players into that group, and I’m eager to see the towns and cities they can build.

Some of the features we can expect to see in the Xbox version will be:

•Build the city of your dreams: Plan road networks, bus lines and parks. Bring on a smog-filled industrial revolution or create a quiet beach town ideal for tourists powered by renewable energy. Bring education, healthcare and safety to your citizens. Build it your way!

•Multi-tiered and challenging simulation: Playing as the mayor of your city, you’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements such as education, water electricity, police, firefighting, healthcare and much more, along with your city’s economy. Citizens within your city react fluidly, keeping you on your toes with ever-evolving demands.

•Extensive local traffic simulation: Managing traffic and the needs of your citizens to work and play will require the use of several interactive transport systems – use careful road planning alongside buses, trains, subways, and much more.

•Districts and policies: Be more than just another city hall official! Create a car-free downtown area, assign free public transport to your waterfront, or ban pets in suburbia.
