Could we be seeing a second collection of Mega Man games on Xbox One soon? It looks like it!
The Korean Ratings Board has outed Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for Xbox One, with the description telling us that it’ll include Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10 – according to gematsu.com‘s translation. Nothing official from Capcom as of yet.
We’re excited at the prospect, considering how much we enjoyed the first Mega Man Legacy Collection, reviewed back in August 2015.
Much like last year, Bethesda have gone and released a tantalising image to tease their E3 showcase this year.
The image tells us it’ll al kick off on June 11 at 1830 PT (0230 June 12 for us Brits), but otherwise the image doesn’t offer many hints. We see Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Prey, Quake, Doom and Dishonored amongst the cute art but nothing else. Oh well, we’ll have to wait for the inevitable E3 leaks then stay up way past our bed times to confirm it all when E3 comes around.
Focus Home Interactive have announced the official Tour de France 2017 video game will release June this year on Xbox One.
With Tour de France 2017, experience all the passion of Le Tour de France and conquer the coveted yellow jersey! Play as the greatest riders on the gorgeous roads of La Grande Boucle: attack, give orders to your teammates, choose the best trajectory, manage your stamina and make the decisions that will lead your team all the way to the top!
In this exciting Tour, race through time-trial stages at Düsseldorf and Marseille, before mythical mountains climbs such as le Galibier and l’Izoard, until the great finale on the Champs-Elysées. The pace of the race, stamina management, climbs and descents have been recalibrated to provide improved realism and immersion. Take advantage of key areas such as windy sections that can generate bordures. Play a full stage in real-time or accelerated x16, play the key-areas only, or even skip the stage entirely. An enhanced AI system means the challenge is also greater now, along with the risk of being disqualified if you finish a stage outside of time limit.
Players will now be able to form clans in order to join other members of the community to organize competitions, chat and compare achievements in-game. This edition features improved realism with regards to race tempo, rider speeds, sophisticated AI, as well as the management of stamina and preparation. Players also now have the ability to set riders in a paceline at anytime during the race, to protect and prepare them ahead of key-areas. A revamped progression system has been introduced in Pro Cyclist mode – fulfil the objectives given by your manager to progress within your team and beyond!
The highly anticipated reboot of Prey is due out in a mere few days, May 5, and to whet your appetite that little bit more is a new trailer.
The trailer promotes the Opening Hour demo, available now on Xbox One. This will allow you to check out the first hour (or more, depending on how you play) of Morgan Yu’s first day on the job. Before Prey’s May 5 release, kick off your journey through Talos I and fight the alien invasion that’s threatening all of humanity.
Ubisoft have announced that For Honor Season Two, Shadow and Might, will launch on May 16th.
Shadow and Might will bring new content to For Honor, including two additional heroes, two extra maps, new customisation items and gameplay updates. Maps and gameplay updates will be free for all players at the start of Season Two. New heroes, the lethal Shinobi and the fierce Centurion, will be available for free immediately for Season Pass holders on May 16th, while all other players will be able to unlock them with their in-game Steel on May 23rd.
In the war between the three deadly factions, Knights, Vikings and Samurai, two new Heroes enter the battlefield:
•Shinobi (Samurai Assassin) – The Shinobi are silent warriors able to move with a dancer’s grace and kill with precision thanks to a lifetime of disciplined training. They wield the traditional Japanese Kusarigama.
•Centurion (Knight Hybrid) – The Centurion sees the battlefield like a chessboard. Equipped with the reliable standard issue gladius, Centurions can bypass enemy defences through strategic close-quarters combat.
The two new maps, Forge and Temple Garden, will expand upon the selection of multiplayer battlefields. Additionally, Season Two will introduce a new level of gear rarity – Epic gear – that will increase the maximum gear score along with a balancing overhaul for the entire gear stats system.
Coinciding with the end of Season One, a new title update (Update 1.06) was released on Windows PC to improve network stability while introducing new gameplay changes and hero balancing. The update is planned to release on consoles very shortly. For Honor will continue to be supported post-launch with additional content and consistent gameplay balancing updates.
Red Thread Games and Deep Silver have released a new trailer for the upcoming 3D adventure title, Dreamfall Chapters, which is due to launch on Xbox One May 5.
The video introduces the two heroes of the game and summarizes their adventures from the previous title, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, giving a glimpse into the deep story of the game and allowing new players to follow up on the events that led to its epic finale in Dreamfall Chapters. Beside the look back, the video will also be featured in the upcoming game as an introduction to the two diverse worlds that build the foundation of the The Longest Journey saga.
Dreamfall Chapters is a 3D adventure set in parallel worlds: one a dark cyberpunk vision of our future, the other a magical fantasy realm. The game follows two unlikely heroes on their journeys across worlds to save the very fabric of reality from falling apart. Dreamfall Chapters is a mature, emotional, dark, magical and heart-breaking adventure that will take players by surprise.
The Xbox One version of Dreamfall Chapters comes with numerous enhancements over it’s PC original: reworked character models, improved animations, lightning, and special effects, plus an expanded in-game soundtrack as well as improved sound-effects.
The Kalypso Media published and Daedelic Entertainment developed strategy title, Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition, is now available digitally on Xbox.
Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition is brought to you by the people behind classic strategy titles such as The Settlers II and Cultures. Life is difficult when your dad is the ruler of Asgard, especially when he banishes you from Valhalla! Join forces with a crew of outcast Vikings and lead them to the summit of Valhalla by building and fighting your way there! This new console version release also includes the official DLC – ‘Sand of the Damned’ and ‘Fire Mountains’ – as well as a new exclusive map type – ‘The Dwarf Cave’. Build, battle, earn honour and lead your crew to eternal Viking paradise!
You can check out the launch trailer below:
In Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition, you are Leko – youngest son of Odin, exiled to Midgard by your father for failing to meet his expectations. More interested in building villages than pillaging them, you now find yourself far from home with a disgruntled band of recently-deceased muscleheads. Odin has turned his back on his people, and it’s your fault. There’s only one thing for it – you’ll have to guide your newfound companions to heavenly glory the only way you know how.
Now, you must lead your band of outcast Viking warriors through the varied landscapes of Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition, where a magical portal awaits to take you to your rightful place in the realm of the gods. But the journey is a hazardous one, and the Vikings will need to do one thing first…survive!
To do that, you’ll have to take good care of your Vikings by putting your building and management skills to the ultimate test. Your band of heroes may be tough but you’ll still need to protect, equip and feed them as well as help them to fend off ghostly residents and wild beasts. Control of the Vikings is indirect – these bearded citizens have minds of their own, so you will influence their actions with general commands rather than controlling any one specific unit at a time. Guide your mighty followers into gathering food, wood and other resources, all while defending their fledgling camp.
Featuring crisp, bold and beautiful 3D graphics (powered by Unreal Engine 4) with full day and night cycles, Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition sees you playing across randomly-generated maps in varying mountain terrains, as you master a balanced economy system to ensure endless gameplay challenges and variety.
Fast-paced 2D shooter and a blood-soaked love letter to the cult classics of the genre, BUTCHER – developed by Transhuman Design – will be published on Xbox One by Crunching Koalas on May 10.
As a cyborg programmed to eradicate the last vestige of humanity, your sole purpose is to annihilate anything that moves. Grab your weapon of choice (from chainsaw, through shotgun, to grenade launcher) and kill your way through underground hideouts, post-apocalyptic cities, jungles and more. And if you’re feeling creative, there are plenty other ways of ending your enemies’ misery – hooks, lava pits, saws… no death will ever be the same.
If kicking corpses into a lava pit and adorning walls with blood is your idea of a good time, then it seems BUTCHER may well be the game for you.
•Ultra-violent uncompromising carnage in the spirit of Doom and Quake (chainsaw included).
•Release your inner artist, paint the walls with (permanent) blood (up to 4 million pixels available to be painted per level).
•Use the environment (saws, hooks, lava pits, animals and other) to brutally dispose of your enemies.
•Put your reflex and patience to the ultimate test.
•Choose from an array of weapons (featuring classics like chainsaw, railgun and the deadly grenade launcher).
•Soak in the dark atmosphere reinforced by a wicked, heavy soundtrack (while you kick corpses around).
•Die painfully: melt in lava, become piranha food, get crushed by heavy doors… and more!
BUTCHER certainly sounds like it lives up to its name and the classics it means to imitate. We’ll know more in just over a week.
