News Trailers Xbox LIVE Xbox One

It’s a great day for all you wannabe Super Heroes or villains as Daybreak Game Company has officially released DC Universe Online (DCUO) on the Xbox One. What’s it all about though, well are you sitting comfortably, then I will begin.

Lex Luthor has traveled back through time with news of a dire future. While the heroes and villains spent years battling amongst themselves, Brainiac has fed on their powers, building strength to return to Earth and destroy humanity. To change the future, Lex has come back to set off a device that bestows superpowers to thousands of everyday citizens and give humanity a fighting chance. Can Brainiac be stopped, or is this another nefarious Lex Luthor plot?

DCUO allows players to create their own Super Heroes or Super-Villians in the massive multplayer worlds of Metropolis, Gotham City and beyond. Armed with your favourite superpowers you can fight for justice and chaos or as one of the 40 available DC Comic characters including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Joker or Harley Quinn in Legends PvP and PvE games.

When asked about DC Universe Online coming to Xbox One, SJ Muller, Creative Director said “Xbox One players can finally channel their inner Super Hero or Super-Villain. Whether they want to run fast like The Flash, fly like Superman or wield ice like Captain Cold, we have more than five years’ worth of content to adventure through in DC Universe Online. DCUO is the only MMO set in the DC Comics universe, and its physics-based combat allows players to really feel like they are part of this action-packed Super Hero world.”

DCUO is available to download for free via the Xbox Games Store and as an added bonus Daybreak Games has created three exclusive items for Xbox One players in the form of the Powered-UP Cape, Powered-UP Emblem and the Vapour Aura. So make sure you grab them as soon as you can. For more information about DC Universe Online check out there official site.

Wicked – I jumped on briefly yesterday and it seems good fun. The wait times to get online can sometimes be painful during peak times but it gives me plenty of time to make a cup of T.
