Fenix Furia

It’s been teased for a few months now. It’s even suffered a name change. Developer, Green Lava Studios and their publishing partner, Reverb Triple XP have finally announced the release date for Fenix Furia. The good news is, it’s closer than you think.

Formerly known as Fenix Rage, the title will thrust players into new challenges with exclusive Split-screen play and a two-player mode for consoles. In fact, the console version will see retuned game levels and a new playable character for you to enjoy.

In the game, you will step into the shoes of Fenix. Fenix is a cute blocky creature of speed and has a nice kindly disposition. Imagine his reaction then, when his village is decimated by a huge explosion. This blast leaves only two survivors, Fenix and the mysterious enemy, Oktarus. Fenix will have to track down this shadowy villain through nine worlds, defeating righteously brutal bosses and hundreds of minions, all bent on his terrible, terrible death.

Harmony must be returned to his world, and he must get all the cookies. Fenix will have to jump and dash his way through hundreds of lightning-paced levels that will test your ability as the player. Negotiate dangerous obstacles in an effort to find Oktarus and collect each level’s cookie. Climb the rankings and rub your friends noses in your best times and fewest deaths.

There are a bag full of different enemies, slick retro-inspired music, fantastic environments and the real and urgent need to master lots and lots of various platforming tactics to defeat this challenge.

And, yes, we have the platforming goodness of the announcement trailer.

Fenix Furia will be available on Xbox One on the 8th of June.
