Square Enix has confirmed that the highly anticipated demo for Final Fantasy XIII-2 is coming – and sooner than you might think… in just a few days time! The demo will hit the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on January 11th across North America and Europe.
The original Final Fantasy XIII has shipped 6.2 million units worldwide since its release in March 2010. The sequel has since evolved beyond its predecessor, with an extraordinary level design encouraging exploration, an enhanced battle system allowing players to command monsters and a variety of options that support multiple playthroughs.
Exclusive new DLC; a bow weapon for Serah called Azrael, has been created through a collaboration between Square Enix and Microsoft, and will be available for the Xbox 360 when the game is released in North America. Azrael is named after an angel who represents spirits and death. It is believed to possess the power to change the owner’s destiny, and the player’s Chain Bonus will upgrade when equipped. You can purchase this weapon from Chocolina, the merchant, in Episode 2 or beyond in the main game for 80 Microsoft Points via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Only Serah has the ability to wield this legendary weapon.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is due out in North America on January 31st, and in Europe on February 3rd.
