Jade Raymond has announced today on twitter, that she has left Ubisoft to join EA and start up a new development studio in her home town of Montreal, Canada.
Raymond has been relatively quiet since her departure from Ubisoft in October last year after a 20 year career spanning roles at Sony, EA, and ultimately Ubisoft Montreal.
On the blog at the EA site, (www.ea.com/motivestudios), she had this to say.
It’s energizing to see EA today bringing more passion than ever to the games they make, and passion to getting it right for players. Motive will work in close quarters with the BioWare team. Yanick Roy and the BioWare Montreal team are doing some new and exciting things with Mass Effect: Andromeda and it’s clear that there is already so much talent to collaborate with on site. And as a player of the latest Battlefield and Dragon Age games, I have experienced what the Frostbite engine can do; and I can’t wait to get my hands on it and see what a new team can create!
I for one am looking forward to finding out more about who will make up the team at Motive, and what IP’s they will develop under the EA umbrella.
