The technical issues for GTA V’s online have continued post the first title update which looked to resolve the problem where users were unable to complete the mode’s tutorial and finish making a character they could use in the mode. Rockstar have acknowledged the increase in numbers of gamers reporting the loss of in game money, vehicle’s and most importantly Character loss.
Responding through the Rockstar support site, they posted the following update:
Loss of characters, rank, items, apartments, and/or in-game money in GTA Online
- We have received reports from some players who experienced losing characters, progress, items, and/or in-game cash during the first few days after release. We are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value. Rockstar have advised players that the best way to exit GTA Online after playing, is to quit out to the single player GTA V mode, which will trigger a game save rather then simply exiting the game completely to the dashboard from the online mode.
Hopefully Rockstar will address these issues quickly, with the mode just a week old now, there have been more negatives then positives with GTA Online just from the sheer number of people trying to play it.
