Inner Chains

Kickstarter and other crowdfunding sources have been a great way for talented developers to get their work backed. There have been so many success stories. Developer Telepath’s Tree are hoping they have another with their first-person horror shooter, Inner Chains.

Picked up for publishing by IMGN.PRO, Inner Chains will send chills running up and down your spine. With stunning visuals inspired by surrealistic art, the newest gameplay trailer, shown below, reveals a whole heap of improvements to the combat system, graphics, animations and sound effects, proving that it’s been money well-spent for the backers. A wide range of the game’s weapons are also showcased. The non-playing characters have also been modified to sport a more diverse look, with varying attack speeds thrown into the mix as well. As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll have to deal with mutated plants that attack everything in sight.

Inner Chains is set in a dark, surreal world, filled with deadly biomechanical monsters. You don’t get to set the rules in this world, you are just a small part of a hostile, unfriendly nightmare. If you want to survive, the only thing you can do is try to discover it’s secrets.

As one of the inhabitants of this universe, your head is filled with the teachings of the Ruling Caste. You have only one goal: to get to a mythical place called the Last Hope and leave this sick, degenerated, dying planet once and for all. Embark on your journey, brimming with fanatical zeal, but nothing is as it seems on this bizarre world. Your survival depends on your watchfulness, judgement, reflexes and accuracy.

Use unprecented methods of interaction between weapons, their users and the environment in this biomechanical horror. The whole atmosphere is magnified by a Michal Staczkun soundtrack and subtle thriller story elements that should leave the hair on the back of your neck raised.

Inner Chains is lining up for a Q2 2017 release on Xbox One.
