Partner Creative Director of Microsoft, Ken Lobb recently had a sit-down with Destin Legarie of IGN. He is interviewed while teaching Destin the basics of the Xbox One exclusive. He shows us the new combo system, shadow moves, combo-breakers, auto-double, and more. In the video, we can see that the game runs on 60 frames per second. Which means that if Double Helix could prove to be competent fighting game developers, Killer Instinct could turn out to be a viable fighter.

As a nice little bonus, the guys at Double Helix visited the Cross Counter TV studios to let some of the fighting game community’s top pros have a go and give their impressions. The only characters currently available are Jago and Sabrewulf.
Up first is the most famous fighting game player in America, Justin Wong. He takes on the original Street Fighter, Alex Valle.
Next we have Cross Counter’s own Gootecks (of Mike Ross & Gootecks) taking on Tasty Steve, a well-known Tekken player and contestant in Capcom’s Cross Assault reality show.
That’s all we have for you on Killer Instinct at the moment, expect some character reveals in the future. We’ll keep you updated.
