Limbo, the massively popular and dark atmospheric puzzle game from Playdead, could be about to be reborn on the Xbox One if we are to take a rating listing from the Korean Ratings board as a huge hint. One of the best Summer of Arcade games ever (in our opinion) when it first launched on the Xbox 360 during the summer of 2010, we’re sure if not certain of its success on next-gen considering its popularity all those years ago!
I first rated the game 10/10 in 2010:
With the loneliness of your own shadow, the sound of your own footsteps and a dark bitter world of danger – LIMBO, not only takes you on a journey of survival, but a mentally challenging adventure that will leave you in a state of awe.
Nothing has yet been confirmed from Microsoft or Playdead following the Rating, but here’s hoping for some next-gen improvements and if we had our own way, a few new Xbox One exclusive levels to boot! If you’ve never played the original, Limbo was an addictive yet eerie game that involved many deaths of a young boy on the hunt for his sister in the worst nightmare imaginable.
When there are “Official” confirmations we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
