Blackwood Crossing

It’s been a few weeks since PaperSeven introduced us to Scarlett & Finn, the main characters in the studio’s incoming adventure game, Blackwood Crossing.

The story-driven title takes a look at the relationship between the orphaned siblings as they take a seemingly ordinary train-ride. The journey turns into a magical story of love, life and loss that delves into the feelings of both children as they deal with the loss of their parents.

You will play the game through the eyes of Scarlett. This teenager is finding her way in the world while trying to look after her younger brother. You’ll wake up on this mysterious train with Finn and the journey gets more mysterious and magical from there. As the game progresses, Scarlett’s abilities begin to develop in extraordinary ways.

As you develop, the game will force you to examine your relationship with your brother and as his anguish begins to reveal itself, so Scarlett’s isolation will be more and more clear.

Developer, PaperSeven contains members of the former Disney Black Rock Studios as well as Oliver Reid-Smith, who wrote The Room.

It has been revealed at Gamescom that Blackwood Crossing will be coming to Xbox One in early 2017 and they’ve released the brand new trailer below to celebrate this.
