An infamous industry insider who has obtained next-gen Xbox dev kits, sold next-gen Xbox dev kits and occasionally leaked interesting information that includes the next Xbox always requiring Kinect 2.0 to be plugged in – has been raided by the FBI in Australia.

Having recently sold a Durango Development kit for around AU $50,000.00 the authorities hit his home with warrants that only mention Microsoft, Ebay and Paypal. Previous sales of Durango kits were blocked by Microsoft last year.

SuperDae quotes on twitter:

“Police raided me” –
“I find it hilarious how the warrant only really mentions “Microsoft”, “eBay”, “Paypal”.” –
“Because its a laughing matter to have an FBI agent and 7-8 POLICE in your house.”

SuperDae was first to reveal to Kotaku that the next-gen Xbox requires Kinect 2.0 as mandatory, has game swapping functions and uses brand new Xbox controllers (that have never been seen in any images so far.) He has also described the graphical leap from Xbox 360 to next-gen Xbox like playing Halo 2 on an original Xbox to playing Crysis on a powerful PC!

Microsoft has not made any announcements yet as to what the final next-gen Xbox will be capable of, but we’ll keep you posted in due course.
