It’s not just the Olympics that are off to Brazil – the next DLC for Rainbow Six Siege also has a Brazilian flava with Operation Skull Rain.
Released August 2, the DLC includes two new operators from Brazil’s Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE) – Caveira and Capitão. As before, you will need to spend your hard earned renown to gain access to the operators or have purchased the season pass for instant access, which also gives owners an exclusive seven day window with the pair.
For the defenders Caveira rocks a M12 and SPAS-15 with a PRB92 as a secondary. Her main skill is being able to silently immobilise enemies and make them spill the locations of the rest of the attacking team. Meanwhile, Capitão is playing for the attackers and is packing a tactical crossbow that fires asphyxiating bolts and micro smoke grenades that can mask movement. If that isn’t enough, Capitão also has the options of the M-249 and PARA-308 as his primary weapon or the PRB92 as a secondary.
To round off the DLC, Skull Rain’s map is set in the favelas – of course – and supports exterior shell destruction. Numerous tweaks will also be bundled with the DLC including a Tactical Realism custom mode, which will make team comms essential if you are to prevail.
