Scorpio will get a reveal during the MS E3 show

News

Phil Spencer has announced the Scorpio will get revealed during Microsoft’s E3 show in his recent blog post.

I’m proud of the progress made with Project Scorpio and what it will mean for the creators who fuel the passion of gamers around the world. On behalf of everyone at Team Xbox, thank you for your continued passion and support. We’re excited to unveil Project Scorpio and the amazing game experiences it powers at E3 this June.

Hopefully we’ll be getting info on the name of the console and even more importantly the price, what do you think it will cost?

If you haven’t read about how powerful the new Xbox will be, then I would definitely check out the Digital Foundry article on Eurogamer.

Dave is the co-owner of TIX – When the site breaks, it’s his fault! You’ll find him playing a lot of FIFA and removing heads with ease on Gears of War with the longshot…

I assume it will retail between $400-$600. I’m hoping I am incorrect because I need to afford the console and a 4k tv without losing my marriage. I haven’t been able to convince the Mrs. that she can’t live her life without 4k.

  • We’ve been discussing this a lot, we guessing $400, MS will happily take a loss on this…

This console is going to make the PS4 Pro look like an Atari 2600 in comparison. Ok – I obviously exaggerate, but I’m looking forward to the release. Do you guys get to go out to E3 and enjoy the new console? Last time I made it to E3 was the unveiling of the original Xbox with the ping pong ball demo. It was sad to see Sega shutdown the Dreamcast that year, but great to see Microsoft come on the scene.

  • Not anymore no 🙁 – You are right though, it should blow the Pro out of the water. The price will be the main factor!
