Star Trek: The Video Game – Out Now, But Don’t Bother

Star Trek: The Video Game – is out in stores now, and the latest press release makes the game sound as if it’s been something the whole world has been waiting for. “The wait is finally over for Star Trek fans, with the release today of the highly anticipated, unparalleled new game experience of STAR TREK: THE VIDEO GAME from Paramount Pictures and NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe S.A.S.. ”

The game features the voice talent of Chris Pine as Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock, reprising their roles from the blockbuster 2009 film Star Trek and the upcoming Star Trek: Into Darkness. However, with reviews out across the net slating the title and it having a Metacritic score as at 26/04/12 of 38/100 – we really suggest leaving this one on the shelves and saving your cash for something much more decent from everything we have read.

…and the list continues with review roundups accessible from N4G and Metacritic.

If you were unfortunate enough to have bought this game and already removed the shrink wrap voiding a return – we feel for you right now. You might struggle to sell this used, but someone somewhere must want one?
