Syndrome shows off new trailer

Camel101, it’s a strange name for a development studio. Regardless of their strange name, they’re bringing their atmospheric survival horror, Syndrome, to Xbox One and they’ve released a brand new trailer to show it off.

Titled “Briefing”, this new video tells some of the backstory to the title. The game will see you exploring the fleet’s most advanced ship. Somewhere along the line, it all went wrong. Friends and co-workers are all dead, their misshapen remains now stalk the hulk’s corridors. They are coming and they will find you.

Starting out with scant supplies and little ammunition, you’ll need to improvise to stop the almost limitless monsters that are out to find you and kill without mercy. You’re stranded on the dying ship with your only chance of escape being to uncover the truth. If you can survive that long.

The monstrosities hunting you are not only faster than you, they’re stronger and completely ruthless. Hide in the shadows, sneak away or wait for the right moment to strike. Every encounter is promised to leave your heart in your mouth as you battle with your fight or flight instincts. Keep an eye on your dwindling resources though, they’re your slimmest of hopes for survival.

Syndrome will be coming to Xbox One this summer via publisher BigMoon Entertainment and will feature claustrophobic horror with reactive enemies contributing to an engaging storyline all taking place on an interactive ship with many things to discover.

If you’re lucky enough to be going to EGX Rezzed in London from the 7th to the 9th of April, then you might be interested to learn that Syndrome will be making it’s publicly playable gaming event debut. If you’re going, and get the opportunity to have a go, let us know how it plays.

Here’s that new trailer.
