Trailer for new action RPG Code Vein

Bandai Namco have released the first trailer for their upcoming action-RPG title Code Vein, releasing worldwide in 2018.

The new trailer highlights the mysterious and captivating universe along with a quick look at the challenging weapon-based combat found in Code Vein. The trailer also teases the companion gameplay mechanic. As players venture out into the world, they will be able to choose a partner companion from the various residents of Vein. Added strategy presents itself when players choose companions that compliments their play style to give them a fighting chance against the vicious enemies they’ll be up against through their journey.

In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the centre of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity.

Code Vein will be released in 2018.

Super Dungeon Bros playable at Gamescom

superdungeonbrosWired Productions today confirmed that  Super Dungeon Bros, the rock-themed co-op dungeon brawler developed by independent studio React Games will be shown at this year’s Gamescom in association with UKIE, and will show off further new content.

As part of the recent retail distribution agreement with Nordic Games, Super Dungeon Bros will also be playable at the Nordic Games Stand.

After its successful outing at E3, Super Dungeon Br0s’  third in-game world, Bogheim, will be available for a hands-on look for the first time at Gamescom  this August.  True to its name, Bogheim is a swampy, yet beautiful world filled with perils and exciting new challenges, joining the already announced worlds of Chillheim and Cryptheim. Players will also have a chance to face never-before-seen boss fights.

In  Super Dungeon Bros, a band of mighty rock bros must navigate the endless dungeons of Rökheim, a giant scar of godforsaken earth, to seek out epic loot, fight hordes of evil undead and uncover the legends of long lost fabled Rock Stars!

Teams of up to four players either on or offline can take on the roles of heavy metal heroes; Axl, Ozzie, Freddie, and Lars and embark on a quest from the gods of rock to search ever-changing dungeons (which scale depending on the number of players) and combine rock and fantasy with dangerous foes, deadly obstacles and hazardous puzzles.

Currently set for a late 2015 release on all platforms, Super Dungeon Bros is promising not only 4 player co-op but also cross platform integration between Xbox One and Windows 10.

w40K_LOGO_1920x1080_TransparentYou may not have heard of NeoCoreGames, but they have a pedigree when it comes to the RPG Genre. NeoCoreGames have promised gradual development and a continuous flow of content to their Action-RPG gameplay.

“There’s a reason why we chose the world of Warhammer 40,000: it’s intense, brutal, visceral – a perfect material for an Action RPG. Working with Games Workshop, we’re doing our best to bring a high quality game to the community. We’re huge fans as well, so we care deeply about this game.”

Zoltán ‘Pozs’ Pozsonyi, Producer, NeocoreGames

A Warhammer 40,000 action RPG has been notably absent from our portfolio of video game licenses so far and its great to finally be able to talk publicly about this wonderful game that the guys at Neocore have been working so hard on for some time now. Their previous action RPG’s are very impressive and we feel privileged to be partnering with them on this game.

Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing, Games Workshop

Overlord: Fellowship of Evil is official for Xbox One

The-Unusual-Suspects

We knew it was just a matter of time, and that time is now. Today Codemasters have revealed that Overlord: Fellowship of Evil will indeed be coming to Xbox One this year. *Commence happy dance*

Overlord does things differently, which if you are familiar with the franchise you’ll know very well. No more being cast as the hero, who’s morales and permanent sense of self-righteousness sickens you to the stomach. Oh no, in Overlord: Fellowship of Evil, (thank the dark Gods) you’ll be taking up the role of one of four Netherghuls and setting out to bring back evil to a word overrun by goodness and all things sweet and fluffy.

Overload 3

Boasting a devilishly good script written by the original’s award-winning scriptwriter Rhianna Pratchett, Overlord: Fellowship of Evil gives players a brand new, darkly comic quest to embark upon. Fans of evil doings can watch the first trailer in action below;

But where’s the fun in smiting fools alone? Join the Fellowship, grab three of your most devious friends – locally or online – and gleefully unleash a wave of delightful destruction across the land. For the Master! I can already see this going down extremely well with our very own Rich and Dave. I always thought they had some sinister, evil traits about them! Especially as you can turn on your fellow players. As The Master would tell us, evil never plays by the rules!

We’ve been scheming about a new Overlord for some time. We really wanted to do something that would allow us be evil alongside our friends, instead of the normal heroics in every other game. The idea of playing as a team of bad guys commanding Minions to do our utmost bidding, while also causing chaos for each other, just really made us smile. And as you know, an Overlord game never takes itself too seriously.

said Rob Elser, Executive Producer Minion, Codemasters.

Overlord 2

So my fellow evil and dark gamers around the world, get ready for Overlord: Fellowship of Evil coming to Xbox One, PC and other platforms later in 2015. We’ll keep you updated on further news and announcements as we approach the launch.
