Xbox One Exclusive Machinima App On Day One

Xbox has today announced that Machinima will launch a new app exclusively on Xbox One, in conjunction with the console’s release on November 22nd.

Machinima’s new app takes advantage of Xbox One’s exclusive “Snap” feature, giving gamers the ability to do two things at once, on the same screen. Simply say “Xbox, Snap Machinima” while playing a game and Machinima will launch on the right side of your TV screen.

One of the first things “Xbox, Snap Machinima” will do is offer curated videos from Machinima’s extensive library, based on the current game you’re playing. These videos will provide everything from game walk-throughs, game reviews, help videos and more. Additionally on offer is an enhanced Snap experience for select Xbox One titles called “Wingman”, that will provide richer, custom-created and exclusive videos to complement gameplay and offer everything from in-game help and tutorials to strategy videos.

In addition to the Snap experiences, Machinima is also launching an Xbox One SmartGlass experience on November 22, giving users a second-screen companion which allows you to keep a game full-screen on the TV while you receive a sidekick Machinima experience on your smartphone or tablet.

Exciting updates and additions to the app will be announced in advance of launch on November 22.

LOVEFiLM App On Xbox 360 Enhanced

LOVEFiLM, has today announced the arrival of its new and improved LOVEFiLM Instant streaming application on the Xbox 360, marking the latest development in the ongoing rollout of the next generation app.

Features which will be made available on the games console – which has sold over 76 million units worldwide – as a result of the launch include an improved search function and recommendation engine, optimised user interface, and the addition of the popular Watchlist feature making it easier to watch TV online.

Revisiting content is also made simple with a homepage display that keeps track of what is currently being viewed and the last location reached in that video – making it easier to resume viewing from the same spot on any LOVEFiLM.com device.

The enhanced LOVEFiLM Instant streaming application for Xbox 360 is available to download on Xbox Live from today, and will soon be made available on all LOVEFiLM-enabled devices.

Deezer – Music Sub App Now on Xbox LIVE

Global music subscription service Deezer has today announced another landmark partnership to give music lovers throughout Europe unlimited access to their favourite tunes – instantly from their Xbox games console.

On top of giving you access to over 20 million of the hottest tracks and thousands of themed radio stations, the new Deezer app is Kinect enabled so that you can take a break from dancing your socks off to navigate the specially designed screens using your whole body. What’s more, each console can connect to up to three Deezer accounts simultaneously, giving you even more opportunity to share and discover music with friends. Once you have decided who the Halo champion is, you can do battle for the title of King of the Deezer Playlist.

The Deezer app is available for download now, and to access all the great features all you need to do is subscribe to Deezer Premium+ on Xbox live.

Golden Gods Awards Show Live on Xbox LIVE May 2nd 2013

This years Golden Gods Awards Show Live will be broadcast on Xbox LIVE ( including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, German, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the United States) in the United Kingdom.

The 5th annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show in Los Angeles is back with some of the biggest names in hard rock and heavy metal. Planning to tune in and turn up the volume? You’re in luck. Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers in the locations mentioned above will be able to stream and rock out to the show live right from their Xbox 360 this Thursday, May 2nd. Watch heavy metal favorites Metallica, Halestorm, Stone Sour and more perform live. See Rob Zombie receive the award that embodies the spirit of hard rock and metal, the Golden God Award and Metallica receive the iconic Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award. The show starts at 8 p.m. PDT. You can also watch the “Black Carpet” pre-show special starting at 7 p.m. PDT and catch glimpses of legends like Gene Simmons, Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper.

Popcornflix, the free (yes FREE) online digital movie platform is launching today its own branded streaming app on the Xbox 360. The Popcornflix app gives Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers access to hundreds of feature length films at no extra charge.

Popcornflix allows film fans to search movies by genre, actor or director, select from the latest in new arrivals, choose from the site’s most popular films or browse all of the movies. Films on Popcornflix feature work from some of Hollywood’s most popular actors, including Brad Pitt , Kristen Stewart , Alec Baldwin , Angelina Jolie , Ryan Reynolds , and many more. Each month, 30-40 additional feature length films will be added to the channel.
