Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr unleashes on console come May 11

In production for three years, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will finally unleash its fury on consoles come May 11. The core mission for NeocoreGames has been to release the studio’s first action RPG set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe – and it’s great to see the developers showing some love to console, even more so by releasing the game at the same time as the PC release.

In the game you play as an Inquisitor, deep in a sector of space that’s sprawling with heretics, mutants, and Chaos Daemons. But you aren’t alone in the Caligari Sector, or rather, you can choose not to be alone – playable in single or cooperative mode with three other players, you can tackle the game’s persistent universe as one of three classes and from the looks of the gameplay trailers, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr has a serious case of the Diablo vibes, which is certainly not a bad thing.

It’s Total Insanity in new FlatOut 4 gameplay trailer

PQube and Bigben Interactive have revealed an exciting new gameplay trailer for their arcade racing franchise, FlatOut4: Total Insanity.

The new video shows off a bit more of the new modes available in FlatOut 4. With a detailed and expansive damage system, all of the cars exhibit damage and explode in real-time and with each smash and crash. A feature that has appeared in previous releases in this franchise is also returning. Stunt Mode makes a welcome comeback, so whether you have the gentle soul of a wicker-basket salesman or the destructive desire to demolish all-opponents, you’re sure to find your niche in FlatOut 4.

This version of the arcade racer will feature 27 customisable cars including tributes to fan favourites and new additions to the garage. Race them around 20 tracks, including traditional derby racing, time trials, arenas, assault levels, carnage levels and much more. High speed collisions will appear even more realistic in the fully descructible environments.

A new Assault mode will have you using deadly weapons to slow or even destroy your opponents. Race along with up to eight-players in online mode or play locally with friends in a series of stunts. Alternatively, play Arena mode, featuring three different gameplay styles; Death Match, Capture the Flag and Survivor.

The legendary Stunt mode returns, with a mixture of six new stunts and six re-imagined classic stunts where the driver is flung through the windshield.

FlatOut 4: Total Insanity is scheduled to launch on Xbox One on the 17th of March.

Bigben interactive go on the hunt with Hunting Simulator

Ah the hunting genre, and yet with all the shooters out there, it seems such an odd game to make. Yet it hasn’t stopped Cabela releasing hunt after hunt. Someone must buy these games otherwise the sequels would cease, and yet, I am yet to meet anyone who actually plays these games.

Bigben Interactive must see some potential in the genre because they have set their sights firmly on portraying a ‘true-to-life’ hunting experience – whatever that means – and are bringing Hunting Simulator to consoles, offering a ‘whole new experience’…

From the Rockies of Colorado to the forests of France and the freezing plains of Alaska, realistic AI animals are waiting to be hunted – it sounds a bit brutal doesn’t it! – in total there are 35 species of animals to hunt across 12 locations, and there’s even online co-op so you can share your hunt with a friend.

I’ve never seen the appeal in hunting games, the closest I’ve come is playing the excellent Far Cry, so can Bigben win me over? I doubt it, but it will be fun to see how this game is received.

New story trailer for 2Dark

The creator of Alone in the Dark has been busy with another horror title, 2Dark, an unforgiving stealth-horror game in which even the save mechanic can apparently kill you.

Plagued by a string of child abductions, darkness hangs over the once-picturesque city of Gloomywood like a curse. Having seen his own wife slain and children taken, former detective Mr. Smith vows to find justice and bring an end to the misery.

From Frédérick Raynal, the creator of Alone in the Dark, 2Dark is a grim journey of stealth and courage into the heart of corruption.

You must use your cunning to infiltrate Gloomywood’s bastions of cruelty. Investigate to uncover the secrets of the deranged psychopaths within, seek retribution for their crimes, and bring the children to safety. If only it were so simple…

Developed by Gloomywood and published by Bigben Interactive, 2Dark offers a gritty and deceptively intricate new adventure of stealth and horror in which death is the only certainty.

– Perfect your plan to infiltrate intricately handcrafted levels and escape with the children.

– A nerve-wracking experience of ruthless consequences with only your wits to guide you.

– Stick to the shadows and step carefully. Light and sound can be your allies, and your undoing.

– Supplies are limited. From flashlight batteries to bullets, make every item count.

– Investigate every nook and cranny to expose the sinister secrets behind the abductions, uncover new areas, and find every child.

– Kids will be kids. Stop for too long and they’ll fidget and cry, putting both of you in harm’s way.

– Break for a smoke to save your progress, but be wary of noisy coughing fits, and remember, smoking really does kill.

Bigben heads into the sunset with Test Drive

The open world of Test Drive captured the hearts of many racing fans, but if it was so popular then why hasn’t it revved its engines onto Xbox One? Well maybe because it needed a new developer/publisher to nurture it onto current platforms – and that time is now.

Bigben Interactive have acquired the Test Drive brand.

“We are more than confident with respect to the quality of this franchise, which is loved by so many players,” stated Alain Falc, CEO of Bigben Interactive. “Our teams are very enthusiastic at the idea of being able to work on this license, which has already proven its worth – the game Test Drive Unlimited 2 sold 1.8 million units,” he concluded.

Bigben are renowned for producing racing titles, but can it do the Test Drive brand justice? Only time will tell!

Will your Xbox fall 2Dark?

2dark xbox

Who remembers Alone in the Dark on Xbox 360? Embarrasingly, I could never get on with the game when I played it. Some titles you take a shine to, some you don’t I guess. Well, the designer for Alone in the Dark, Frederick Raynal, has unveiled a new light and shade based title developed by Gloomywood and published by Bigben Interactive coming to Xbox One soon, called 2Dark.

In 2Dark you will play as an ex-cop, adrift since the kidnapping of his children and losing his wife in terrible circumstances. Learning by chance of a similar case that took place in a run-down suburb of the sleazy town known as Gloomywood, you decide to investigate and dig up clues.

The object of the game is to rescue as many children as you can from the clutches of psychopathic serial-kidnappers. In the course of this, you will take on a slew of serial killers in their own back-yards. You’ll have to avoid their henchmen, slip by their traps and lead the frightened children to safety. Armed only with your trusty Smith & Wesson and leading a gaggle of frightened and disobedient children, you must rely on your wits and skill in orderto survice and be the hero you were born to be.

2Dark will be coming to Xbox One soon.

Sherlock Holmes’ new cinematic reveals the Devil’s Daughter

Bigben Interactive and long-time Sherlock game developer, Frogwares, have teamed up with award-winning CG trailer maker UNIT Image to create a brand new cinematic teaser for the recently announced Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter.

This trailer takes Sherlock on a mystic trip, out of the comfort of that infamous sitting-room and into a vortex of other-worldy adventure.

What led young Katelyn to 221B Baker Street? Could she have discovered the dark truth about her family? Who is the charming Clairvoyant that has moved to 221C? Is there room for seances and occult rituals in the bastion of logic and rationalism?

Will you be able to guide Sherlock to the incredible final revelation?

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is coming to Xbox One on the 27th of May.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter pack shots revealed

It’s hard to believe that the Sherlock Holmes series of games are now heading to their eighth title. These investigative adventures starring Conan-Doyle’s most famous creation are firmly becoming a fan favourite. Bigben Interactive and Frogwares have now announced Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter will be heading to Xbox One on the 27th of May.

To celebrate, they’ve released what you should be looking for on the retail shelves when it finally hits them. That’s right, we’ve got a gratuitous box-shot.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter will once again see you play as Sherlock, tracking down evil in the darkest corners of London and in the human spirit, freely exploring several neighbourhoods in the city. Serach for clues and suspects while Holmes and Watson untangle a web of intrigue, leading to the final stunning revelation.

Sherlock will offer you a fully immersive and epic storyline as the great detective is shaken by emotion when he is caught between family, dark forces and powerful thirsts for vengeance.

You can pick up Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter from the 27th of May and while some may be disappointed by a distinct lack of Benedict Cumberbatch, you’ll still be in for a plot thicker than your average TOWIE star.
