Join Greg Giddens and Damien Ashley for a new episode of the This is Xbox Podcast.
This episode follows on from the last show and discusses what was shown and announced at E3 2017. Greg and Damien discuss their thoughts on the conferences and their highlights with some of the TiX team contributing their own feelings in short audio segments throughout the show.
Capcom have revealed Monster Hunter World in the PlayStation E3 conference, showing off some attractive monster hunting tactics and combat in a neat reveal trailer you can find below.
Shortly after the reveal, the Monster Hunter official Twitter confirmed that the title will be coming to Xbox One as well as PS4, making this the series’ debut on a Microsoft console. Monster Hunter World is due out early 2018.
With a familiar Fast and Furious theme to it, the visuals of last year’s title but with some sunshine, collectable classic cars to find like in Forza Horizon, the crash sequences of Burnout, and a little of the track events last seen in Split Second, Need for Speed Payback looks to be incorporating some of the best elements of car racing films and games into their latest entry in the series.
At the EA E3 conference, Need For Speed Payback was shown off, treating us to some of the high speed racing, traffic dodging and pursuits we can expect come release, November 10th. A section of it’s story mode was highlighted, showing a stunt seen multiple times in the Fast and Furious franchise of films, where one of the three protagonists you’ll play as jumps from a high speed car onto a truck, before stealing the sport’s car within and driving off. It was exhilarating to watch, and we here at TiX towers are pretty hyped.
We look forward to seeing more, but for now, there is a reveal trailer:

Much like last year, Bethesda have gone and released a tantalising image to tease their E3 showcase this year.
The image tells us it’ll al kick off on June 11 at 1830 PT (0230 June 12 for us Brits), but otherwise the image doesn’t offer many hints. We see Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Prey, Quake, Doom and Dishonored amongst the cute art but nothing else. Oh well, we’ll have to wait for the inevitable E3 leaks then stay up way past our bed times to confirm it all when E3 comes around.
If you want to get your hand on Project Scorpio then you’ll be pleased to hear that Xbox FanFest for E3 2017 as been announced.
