The week began with three new additions to EA access with the Mass Effect trilogy but it seems EA weren’t finished with the update to the EA Access Vault. As of yesterday, Mirror’s Edge and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst joined the Vault, and as of today UFC 2 does.
[Edit] The previously mentioned Skate 3 has joined the ever growing list of backwards compatible titles, but is currently not in the EA Access Fault.
Both Catalyst and UFC 2 are relatively new titles, so it’s a great boon to see them hit the Vault so early. Moreover, our very own Rich Berry gave Catalyst a whopping 8/10 in his review, stating that:
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst mixes open world mechanics from many other titles in the genre and lovingly wraps it in the slick style of the City of Glass. It looks stunning and runs smoothly…
Meanwhile, our own Derek McRoberts gave UFC 2 a staggering 8.9/10 in his review, stating:
If you have any interest in realistic fighting games, UFC2 is a sound investment I can’t recommend enough.
Indeed, if you’ve got EA Access we can’t recommend picking these title up enough.
What other EA titles would you like to see in the Vault? Why not tell us in the comments below.

Five maps and four modes will be available, including St. Quentin Scar, Amiens, Sinai Desert, Fao Fortress and Suez in the Conquest, Rush, Operations, and Domination modes. Your progress carries over, too, if you decide to buy the full game after your Play First Trial ends.
So who sat down and played the Battlefield 1 Beta and what did you think of it? Well if you did you made history as EA have informed us that it was the biggest Beta Test of a game in EA’s history. A staggering 13.2 Million players logged on over the beta to sample what the game had to offer, and in true fashion the team behind Battlefield have put together an infographic to highlight this.
The team then followed on to say how the feedback they gained from the Beta was invaluable and changes will be made to the game to reflect some of the comments and suggestions players made, so watch this space.
Battlefield 1 launches worldwide October 21st but for players with EA Access or Origin Access you will be able to get your hands on the game on October 13th. Stay tuned for further information or check out the official Battlefield website for the latest updates.

So what are you waiting for, you can download the EA Access Hub App now by clicking on the Gold Member area on the home dashboard.
If you’re still uncertain though, the current titles in the The Vault include Battlefield Hardline, EA SPORTS UFC, Battlefield 4, FIFA 16, Dead Space, Madden NFL 16, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR, NHL15, Titanfall, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, Need for Speed Rivals, NBA LIVE 15, Peggle 2, FIFA 14, and Madden NFL 14.
At the end of EA Access Free Plays Days you’ll get the option to become a full member and what’s more any gamescore / achievements and progress will be automatically carried over and you’ll be able to continue playing right where you left off. On top of this, as a member of EA Access you will also be able to play new EA titles before they are released and save 10% on EA digital purchases. As you are all probably aware Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is coming to Xbox One on the 23rd February, but what you might not know is that those nice people at EA are granting all players with EA Access memberships a 10 hour free trial starting tomorrow.
Following what EA have done in the past with games like Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefield Hardline anyone who has membership to their subscription service EA Access, will from tomorrow be able to download PvZGW2 and play the full game before its official release.
Plants Vs Zombies 2 put players into an all-out battle, where for the first time in franchise history, zombies have conquered Suburbia and plants are on the attack. Players can now go on the offensive as the plants in all-new modes including the 24-player Herbal Assault mode, or rally the zombies together and defend against the plants in the 4-player co-op mode, Graveyard Ops. Six new character classes are now available and you now have a choice of over one hundred playable plants and zombies from the past, present, and future.
As with any 10 hour free trial the clock only runs as long as the game is open so make sure you close your game when you finish playing to stop the countdown (a mistake I made in a previous trial). The good news is that if you decide to buy the full game all your progress is carried over, including Player Loyalty Rewards.
