Earlier today Fatshark revealed that Jesper Kyd is working on the soundtrack for Warhammer End Times Vermintide. The Swedish developer from Stockholm also unveiled a brand new set of screenshots showing off the Skaven in all their ‘glory’.
Whether you’re a Warhammer or a science fantasy fan, Vermintide is shaping up to be an intriguing title and one I’m looking forward to seeing more of. With a new Warhammer 40K game also coming this year, it’s certainly a great time for Games Workshop fans!
Borderlands 2 has to be one of my all-time favourite soundtracks. It was created by Danish composer Jesper Kyd, who also worked on the Assassin’s Creed and Hitman series. Today Fatshark have announced that they employed his services for their upcoming Warhammer title End Times Vermintide so you can imagine that I’m pretty damn excited to see what he comes up with.
It seems like I’m not the only one that’s excited! Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark says,
When we first began the search for a composer for Vermintide, Jesper Kyd was a name that kept coming up again and again – his iconic atmospheric compositions have become a benchmark in what can be achieved in video game music, we could not be more excited about what he has in store for Vermintide.

Working with indie developer Fatshark was one of those crazy challenges that rarely comes along, they wanted a score from the perspective of the Skaven inhabiting the Warhammer universe. Writing this score has been a bit like joining the Skaven clan and giving them a voice – it’s been great, twisted fun.
