Get stranded with Island Time VR on April 3

How long would you survive if you were stranded on your own desert island? Through the wonders of modern technology and the power of PSVR you can put your Robinson Crusoe skills to the test.

“Flight School is focused on pushing technology to entertain those wanting new virtual experiences, especially for VR and AR,” said Adam Volker, Creative Director at Flight School Studio. “Island Time VR provides players with fun survival challenges that push players to think creatively about ways to stay alive. We’re excited to see what solutions people come up with to survive in the game, and we’ll fold all the things we learn into our next VR experience.”

This comical survival VR title releases on April 3 priced at a very reasonable $14.99.

“I have no business being a voice actor, so I was blown away when Flight School reached out to have me voice Carl,” said Greg Miller, Co-Founder of Kinda Funny Games. “Then, imagine my surprise when the game turned out to actually be great! It’s been an honor to be part of a game that’s engaging, funny, and a great example of what VR can be.”

In the newest Island Time VR trailer, the team highlight some of the ways you will die on the island.

Get stranded with PSVR title Island Time

This spring you can have your very own ‘Robinson Crusoe’ VR experience when Flight School Studio’s latest title, Island Time, hits PSVR.

The VR survival game of Island Time is a far stretch from the strenuous, instead favouring a more humorous and fun twist on what it would be like to be stranded on a desert island. If you’re stuck for ideas on how to survive, then Carl the Crab is on-hand – there must be some hallucinogens on the island – to offer advice and tips on how to keep yourself alive.

The game includes the following features:

  • Survive… until you die
  • Play standing in a room-scale VR experience
  • Craft tools, like a spear, from the island’s resources
  • Use your tools to catch fish, defend yourself… and do stuff, like, not die
