In the build up to the launch of the next instalment of the worlds biggest first-person-shooter, Call of Duty – Activision and Infinity Ward have released a few little short video’s before you get all tingly with anticipation about shooting your way through another campaign next month.
Check out how Clans is an integral part of the Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer experience due for release on Xbox 360 November 5th and Xbox One on November 22nd.
This year introduces new breakthroughs, including the Call of Duty Clan Wars game experience, and cross-platform Clans where players can now join a Clan with friends regardless of whether they play on any Xbox, PlayStation or Windows PC, and level-up their Clan to earn exclusive unlocks and multiplayer XP bonuses.
It was as if Activision had read our minds when we wondered exactly what the date would be for the multiplayer reveal in August. Only earlier today had we posted a reminder of the reveal – it’s now been officially dated and detailed for August 14th 2013 and will be streamed live from Los Angeles on CallofDuty.com
There has been a few rumours circulating around the internet regarding a complete refresh of the multiplayer system. Lobbies might have been removed in favour of some new mini-game whilst waiting on loading times. Spec Ops totally removed and a sort-of co-operative mode introduced somewhere along the lines. Possibly even a new special dog for multiplayer as a Perk!
Gamer’s who pre-order Ghosts from participating retailers will receive a FREE Bonus DLC map. “Free Fall” drops players into a shattered skyscraper on the brink of collapse. Sideways staircases climb into the night sky, elevator shafts run along the ground, and what were once windows now form a terrifying glass floor, hundreds of feet above the city streets. It is assumed that dynamic maps will be detailed more during the reveal on August 14th this year.
All we can do now is sit and wait it out… roll on August 14th! 10:30am PDT // 6.30pm BST
Call of Duty: Ghosts is a title very much used to be leaked, with retailers outing its existence in the first instance then later followed by box art, and even release date. Now another leak for the game has surfaced in the form of the Start Menu options screen and a multiplayer screenshot from an early build version.
As spotted by NeoGaf users, YouTube member “Revival1518” has uploaded some screens that should be taken with a pinch of salt, although very realistic looking. Nothing has been confirmed or shown from the games publisher Activision as of yet, but the leak appears to be current-gen PS3 images.
