Gone Home is available now for Xbox One owners, although if you are on the wrong side of the pond then there’s a slight delay. Due to some complications with European ratings, Gone Home is only available to those of you in North America.
The Fullbright Company are hopefully this delay will only be a brief one, with the solution being ‘fast-tracked’ through certification. In the meantime, here’s the launch trailer…
After teasing about a console release a while ago, developer Full Bright Company have re-kindled their relationship with Midnight City and announced that Gone Home will officially be coming to Xbox One.
This will be a full PC-conversion of the title that so many people have taken to their hearts. You take the first-person view of Kaitlin Greenbriar as she returns home to the mansion her family inherited after a year-long trip abroad, to find an empty house.
There are messages from her sister telling her not to go looking for answers, but you being you, it’s ignored. Wander around the huge house and interact with pretty much most of it along the way. The game will reward you for exploring new areas and finding new messages.
Pick up objects and examine them to find new clues. Uncover the events of one family’s lives by investigating what they’ve left behind.
Gone Home has already picked up a host of awards and will be hitting Xbox One on the 12th of January 2016.
