Forza 5 – IGN Car Pack DLC for Xbox One

forza 5 ign pack

Turn 10 and IGN have teamed together to release the ‘IGN Car Pack’ for Forza Motorsport 5, a new DLC pack offering-up a selection of new cars to be used in-game. The pack contains 10 new cars, but the catch is even after purchasing the pack for £8.99 from the Store, you’ll still need to then purchase the cars individually in-game using your hard earned credits and tokens if wanting to use them in racing career. The cars included are listed below:

  • 1957 Ferrari 250 California

This fan favourite is a perfect blend of Ferrari’s 250-series racing technology in a package that not only is suitable for touring and cruising, it also lets you take in the raucous sounds of the wonderful Tipo 128F Colombo V12 through the open top.

  • 1961 Maserati Tipo 61 Birdcage

The trident logo of Maserati has always borne the burden of being known for its racing accomplishments. Using the four-cylinder two litre from the 200S canted at 45 degrees, the Birdcage revolutionised the exterior of race cars of its era.

  • 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 409

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog featured this 409 cubic inch V8 monster in their track “Let Me Ride.” This has led to countless enthusiasts preserving or restoring Impalas back to showroom condition

  • 1969 Nissan Fairlady Z 432

“432” stands for four valves per cylinder, three carburettors, and two camshafts — all features of the high-performance S20 motor yanked from the top-of-the-line Skyline GT-R. This lady is as valuable as she is rare.

  • 1977 Ford Escort RS1800

With a storied history in rallying, the 1977 Ford Escort RS1800 should prove as desirable in Forza Motorsport 5 as it is by Ford enthusiasts and collectors in real life.

  • 1984 Peugeot 205 T16

From afar, the Peugeot 205 T16 looks much like the front-wheel drive, front-engine street car it was based on. With four-cylinder turbocharged, 16-valve engine mated to a four-wheel-drive system, this 80’s classic will have you purring for some World Rally Championship action.

  • 2002 Ferrari 575M Maranello

A fair assessment of the 575M Maranello, a heavy revision of the 550 that preceded it, is that this is arguably the best version of this vehicle. Few cars have the poise, effortless grace, and startling performance as the 575M Maranello, one of the best front-engined grand tourers ever produced

  • 2008 Lamborghini Reventón

The direct inspiration for this exclusive Murcielago variant was the F-22A Raptor, an advanced jet with stealth capabilities. Sporting the Murcielago’s massive 6.5-litre V12, its 211 mph top speed is as close to flying a jet as you can come without leaving the ground.

  • 2013 Caterham Superlight R500

There are few cars in the world that can match its 0-60 in just less than 3 seconds which is why this purpose built racing car is actually banned from racing.

  • 2013 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG

With the AMG upgrades, this Mercedes-Benz is nothing less than one of the best-performing hot hatches in the world. Loads of horsepower are pumped out of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine via a high-pressure turbocharger that receives a race-car-like 26psi of boost.

If you want to take a look at what’s on offer before splashing out using your hard earned real money then Turn 10 also have a visual aid in the form of a new trailer of the cars has also been released:

If you go ahead and purchase the DLC, you will be able to try out the cars free play mode before using your credits to add them to your career garage. You’ll also get the 1961 Maserati Tipo 61 Birdcage added to your garage. At least £8.99 gets you one car to use straight away. If you want to purchase any of the cars individually, you can, setting you back just under £2 each.
