Watch sci-fi combat title Aaero in new trailer

Aaero

There are a couple of music-driven titles that are heading to Xbox in the coming months. Indie micro-developer, Mad Fellows can be added to that growing list as they are releasing a music-based sci-fi combat title later this year, called Aaero.

Mad Fellows have been busy polishing game mechanics and have found some time to produce a brand new gameplay trailer. This new trailer for Aaero showcases multiple levels, enemies, huge bosses and gaming action. You’ll face all of this and more when Aaero is released.

The game will have you speeding through stunningly stylised environments as you trace ribbons of light. As you do this, you’ll release energy in the game’s music. Encounter strange enemies and fight epic boss battles, all driven by a fully-licensed soundtrack, featuring the likes of Katy B, The Prototypes, Neosignal, Flux Pavilion and Noisia, among many more.

Mad Fellows are a small developer based out of Leamingston Spa in the UK. They’re not new to the gaming scene either, having previously worked on such high-profile titles as Guitar Hero, DJ Hero, Colin McRae Rally, ToCA Race Driver and more for console.

If you’re lucky enough to be attending the Game Developers Convention 2017 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from Feb 27th to March 3rd, then not only will Mad Fellows being attending, they will be bringing Aaero to showcase with a hands-on session. You’ll be able to find it in the ID@Xbox reception area in the South Hall. You’ll be welcome to swing by and check it out.

Aaero has been earmarked for a Spring 2017 release.

Aaero to appear at EGX

There are some hinted releases that are particularly tricky to track down. Mad Fellows Games are a developer born out of the urban sprawl of Leamington Spa, UK and they’ve been working pretty closely with ID@Xbox to reveal a game that was a little tricky to find information for.

Aaero is the name of the game and is a rail shooting music game. Mad Fellows have some form when it comes to the music game genre, having released Sine Wave on iOS already. Aaero is promising an exhilarating, killer, licensed soundtrack from the likes of Noisia, Flux Pavilion, Neosignal, Astronaut and Barely Alive with more to be announced in the coming months.

As for the gameplay, expect Aaero to deliver on the promise of dynamic environments, stylised visuals, epic boss battles and freeform gameplay in perfect time with the music.

Aaero is making it’s gameplay debut at EGX in Birmingham, UK from the 24th-27th of September.

I’m intrigued by Aaero, which is scheduled for release in 2016.
