To celebrate the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Ghosts on November 5th, Activision are turning on Double XP for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II during the entire week of Friday, October 25th (10am/PDT) through Friday, November 1st (10am/PDT).
Plus, they are offering exclusive in-game backgrounds in Call of Duty: Ghosts for previous accomplishments – so this may be a good time to finish those prestiges. Learn more about these backgrounds here.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will launch on November 5th 2013 for Xbox 360 with an Xbox One launch on November 22nd.
Modern Warfare 4 – well, what a history thisisxbox has with that title from the day I sat on the plane journey home from a holiday in Turkey next to voice of Captain Price himself. You can read more about that trip via this direct link where the fourth entry into the Modern Warfare series was confirmed, but then later denied.
Infinity Ward on the other hand has never denied the title’s existence only that they deny speaking to voice actors in the game, and then apparently it was all meant to relate to the Modern Warfare for China which just all sounds too dodgy since that game recycles voice assets from the previous games.
Activision and its Call of Duty developers has not confirmed this years title in the series, but a new trailer has surface on both Vimeo and Youtube. Unlike the rather crap fan-made movie about Ghosts rising, this trailer does have a more authentic feel to it with the impression that an unknown enemy is out to wipe the identity of Captain Price…
…it’s not me, I swear.
Here’s the trailer – whether it’s real or fake you still can’t help but feel that exciting tingle for another Call of Duty.

“Activision Ambassador with these content collections you’re really spoiling us.”
And with Modern Warfare 3’s 2nd instalment of extra maps and goodies due to arrive on May 22nd, the good folk at Activision really are spoiling us.
A whole bundle of Warfare goodness will soon be in our mitts. 3 standard multiplayer maps, 2 spanking new Spec Ops missions and 4 smaller maps for the all new Face-Off game mode make up what is without doubt a veritable feast for avid ‘Codders’ to get their teeth into.
Some might say that the resignation of Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward as their Creative Strategist, is just what people do in life – one minute they’re happy in their jobs, and then next they want to move on to do something new and completely different. Now what if Activision with developer’s Infinity Ward took the same approach in their business activities – this could mean that Modern Warfare 3 might have just been the last Call of Duty game from its founding studio!
