2-stroke bikes finally coming to MXGP3

You’ve probably heard them tearing up and down your street, ridden by next door-but-one’s feral kids. 2-stroke motorbikes are some of the most fun and most nimble of the motorbike vehicle group, and after mounting fan pressure, they’re finally coming to MXGP3: The Official Motocross Videogame.

Developed by one of the leading and longest established racing game developers, Milestone, MXGP3 has opened pre-orders and they have also announced a release date for the game.

Along with the 18 official tracks from the Motocross Championship, MXGP3 will offer 10 2-stroke motorbikes to blast around those very tracks. The game will feature unpredictable, dynamic weather conditions to make racing just that little bit more than real. From hot, beating sun to torrential heavy rain, every change should decisively influence the rider’s visibility and the highly changeable track terrain. This should put even the most skilled rider to the test.

Add to this, the unmistakeable sound of the 2-stroke engine, and you should have the sweetest recipe for success.

These newly announced 2-strokes will be available for all the game modes in MXGP3 and have been designed in-game for ultimate physical reality and realism. The following bikes will feature on the 2-stroke all-stars list in game.

  • KTM 250 SX
  • KTM 125 SX
  • Husqvarna TC 250
  • Husqvarna TC 125
  • Honda CR250R
  • TM MX 250
  • TM MX 125

MXGP: Official Videogame – Bobryshev Gameplay Video

Here we go, a new gameplay video for MXGP: The Official Motocross Videogame. This one features Evgeny Bobryshev at Valkenswaard (somewhere in the Netherlands). The video demonstrates and highlights two of the key features to the upcoming title; track soil deformation and  a very intriguing first-person view.

Firstly, the video highlights how the surface in MXGP’s game changes. This feature allows ‘track soil deformation’ to be selected, resulting in track condition changes race by race. This will ideally make the game more challenging, competitive and realistic. The second feature shown in this gameplay video is the first person view that drives the player deep into the games’ dynamics, increasing the visual perception of the track’s ruts and jumps. These two main features, including the already announced separate analog sticks and loyal artistic direction, turn MXGP into the only game capable of delivering the authentic Motocross experience.

MXGP features all the riders, teams, bikes and rules from the official MXGP 2013 calendar including a redesigned career mode designed to simulate the lifestyle of a MXGP racer. Developed by Milestone Studio, MXGP: The Official Motocross Videogame will be available on 8th March 2014 Xbox 360, Windows PC and other platforms.
