The Division movie director announced

The Division is set to hit the silver screen and be made into it’s own movie adaptation. Like most rumours of up and coming films the spot light often jumps to who is going to be responsible for making and bringing a video game to life. Today Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the film and TV part of Ubisoft has announced that the same person will write and direct The Division movie.

If you’re like me then you’re passionate about how video games are portrayed once they are created into a movie and it’s no secret that there have been some really bad game related films made, Uwe Boll I’m looking at you!

However it looks as though The Division movie will be in some really good hands because the writer and director of the movie will be the one and only Steven Gaghan. Chief Executive Officer of Ubisoft Motion Pictures Gerard Guillemot said,

We are really excited to bring Stephen’s unique vision of the game to film audiences around the globe,”

The Call of Duty: Ghosts director has been handed the gantlet and is taking on the task of bringing disease ridden New York to life. I you’re not familiar with Steven Gaghan then check out his IMDB page right HERE for more information, it won’t be long before you recognise something that he’s done.

The Division could go to Central Park in upcoming DLC

It’s common that developers leave half complete areas in games and block them off, ready for the day that the complete area is released as DLC. Destiny was rife with these and gamers sought them out for their 10 minutes of internet fame.

Unsurprisingly The Division has some of these areas and while your agent can only mantle certain objects, you can use mobile cover and the ballistic shield to roll backwards through certain walls, as Youtube Chaz demonstrates.

But what in the way of DLC areas would you like to see in The Division’s New York? Central Park will spring to mind as does Liberty Island and in the video below Chaz shows how you can glitch to Central Park but be warned, do so at your own risk!
