Oculus teams up with Xbox

Hot VR property Oculus Rift is coming to Xbox One… well, sort of.

Today, Oculus VR have announced a partnership with Microsoft and Xbox that will see every Oculus Rift packaged with an Xbox One controller. What’s more is that you will be able to stream Xbox One games via a Windows 10 PC directly to the Oculus Rift – I assume that will be similar to how you can force 2D into 3D via a 3DTV?

There’s a lack of details surrounding the announcement, and no price point or release period confirmed, although you can bet that the Oculus Rift will feature in Microsoft’s E3 showcase – for now, all we know is that you’ll be able to play “your favorite Xbox One games, like Halo, Forza, Sunset Overdrive and more, on your own virtual reality cinema screen”
