We’ve been looking forward to some new content to play, Rainbow Six Siege has barely left my disc drive. Finally, some content has arrived!
Operation Black Ice includes the new yacht map, two new operators, Frost and Buck, from the elite Canadian special operations JTF 2 force, and new weapon skins. Additionally, the Spectator Camera feature will be available online for all platforms in custom games.
Season Pass holders will instantly receive the new JTF 2 operators and non-Season Pass owners will be able to unlock them using Renown in-game currency or R6 Credits starting on February 9th
The first piece of free planned content for Rainbow Six Siege will release on February 2 for Season Pass Owners, and a week later for everyone else. The DLC includes two new Operators, a new map, some new weapons skins and gameplay upgrades.
Joining the Operator ranks are the Canadian Joint Task Force, both characters come locked and loaded with their own weapons and gadgets and Season Pass owners will get them first, and without the need to unlock them. If you don’t own the pass, you can unlock the Operators for 600 Rainbow Six credits or 25,000 renown – that’s a lot of grinding!
Since reviewing Siege, the online shooter has nudged out my other online games to become my go to game – my group of friends have also followed suit – with nightly custom games of Siege taking us well into the early hours of the morning.
Although the DLC was expected to land in January the roadmap of Rainbow Six Siege content clearly shows four windows of content – January-March, April-June, July-September and August-December – surely we can’t play the delayed card can we?
