Project CARS ninth DLC released

Project CARS has had some incredible DLC released for it already and it’s hard to believe that we’re already on the ninth set of cars for the title.

Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe have released the US Race Car Pack, featuring some of the States’ most iconic race liveried muscle.

Included in this DLC are:

  • 2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R
  • 2015 Cadillac ATS-V.R GT3
  • 2014 Dallara DW12 Indycar
  • 2016 Ford Fusion Stock Car
  • Aston Martin Vantage GT12

Wait.. the Aston Martin? Is that even American? Well, no it isn’t, but as it’s this DLC’s free car I suppose it can be forgiven.

Project CARS US Race Car Pack is available now, here, for £2.79 or your local currency equivalent.

Still undecided?

Project CARS reveal Stanceworks DLC

It’s about time we got the next Project CARS DLC update. This will be DLC number eight from Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco. It’s hard to believe that there’s been so many already.

This DLC is Stanceworks themed and features five new vehicles and a new 4.5 mile long Highlands track.

So, for your pleasure, the Stanceworks Track Expansion, which is out now, will include:

  • BMW 1 Series M-Coupe Stanceworks Edition
  • MX-5 Radbul Formula Drift
  • BMW 2002 Turbo Stanceworks Edition
  • KTM X-Bow-R
  • Ford Falcon FG
  • Bannochbrae track

This DLC’s free car is the 2014 V8 Supercar Touring series monster, the Ford Falcon FG. Also included are the BMW 1 Series M-Coupe with Stanceworks livery, a special version of the BMW 2002 Turbo, the frankly bizarre KTM X-Bow-R and “Mad” Max Whiddet’s extreme drifting machine, the MX-5 Radbul.

Bannochbrae is the featured track and, being over 4.5 miles of stunning Highlands of Scotland acreage, takes in the village of Bannochbrae along the side of its infamous misty loch. The sweeping curves and spectacular views might just distract you from the driving though.

Project CARS Stanceworks track expansion DLC is out now.

Project CARS adopts the Lotus position

It’s been out for a while and I’m yet to sample Project CARS. For a racing enthusiast, I’m almost finding that unacceptable as by all accounts, it’s excellent.

Slightly Mad Studios have just extended the life of the title too as they’ve just released the next car and track DLC pack. The theme for this pack is the classic Team Lotus brand.

With this pack, you’ll get:

  • 1965 Lotus Type 40 Ford
  • 1963 Lotus Type 25 Climax (F1)
  • 1966 Lotus Type 38 Ford (Indy)
  • 1967 Lotus Type 51 (Formula Ford)
  • 1970 Lotus Type 49C Cosworth (Free car #6)
  • Rouen les Essarts classic track
  • Hockenheim Classic track
  • Silverstone Classic track

The tracks themselves will take racers back to the days of their original roots. Silverstone, for example, will have more of it’s airfield-track features.

The Classic Lotus Track DLC is out now for £5.99 or your local currency equivalent and is part of Project CARS‘ commitment to fresh content in the Project CARS on demand feature.

Here’s some lovely visuals and sound to show you what you’ll get.

Project CARS releases next DLC

Project CARS is ticking over nicely in the DLC department and they’ve just pulled the cloth covers from the latest in line for release.

The Ruapuna Park International Raceway circuit is the next track to be given the green light for some CARS action. This track contains five unique layouts and is located 13KM from Christchurch in New Zealand. It hosts the prestigious Lady Wigram Trophy and an annual round of the New Zealand V8s series.

This pack will also include the Audi R18 e-tron Quattro, six-time American Le Mans series winner Audi R8 LMP900 and the 1989 Audi 90 IMSA GTO.

As if that wasn’t enough Vorsprung Durch goodness, the game’s second free car is the coveted Audi A1 Quattro.

The Community Liveries also promise an amazing fan-created Ford Escort MK1 livery as well as six real life DTM liveries for the Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evolution2.

The Project CARS Audi Ruapuna Pack should be available, now.

Project CARS delivers first Community Livery Pack

The game has only just come out and our lovely friends at Bandai Namco Entertainment and Slightly Mad Studios have already delivered their first Community DLC in the form of a Community Livery Pack.

This first Project Cars Community Livery pack has not only bold, creative designs and homages to iconic real-life liveries but also an accurate recreation of Deadmau5′ livery for his BAC Mono and whats more they have all been created by the gaming community.

This is the first in a set of free, yes free packs contains liveries created by actual players of the game, but if you think you can do better head over to Project CARS Official Forums and showcase your work! The best submissions will be included in future packs to come.

The Community Livery Pack is available now from the Xbox store and while you’re there why not check out the Free Car #1 DLC The Lykan Hypersport, which is also available to download.
