Ubisoft has released a new patch for Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, introducing a garrison Reset option which is now live across the Xbox LIVE marketplace as soon as you boot up the game.
Once players have conquered every garrison in their first run, they can reset them, and face the challenge all over again. Based on the success of FC3’s Outpost reset patch, this similar patch will give players another reason to revisit the year 2007 and re-take the garrisons once more.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is the game where you kill the baddies, get the girl and save the world, in a VHS-era vision of the future. As Sergeant Rex Colt, you are part man, part machine all American, a state-of-the art Mark IV cyber-commando on a mission… of vengeance. He is out to bring down his old commanding officer and his battalion of ruthless killer cyborgs, and he’ll stop at nothing to get the job done.
Blood Dragon is constantly coming at you with reminders that it is an homage to every bad action film that you had seen in the 80s and early 90s. Every piece of dialogue in the game is penned to perfection. Every line coming with a barrage of dated clichés that will slap you in the face with a fist full of nostalgia. They even secured the extremely appropriate voice acting talents of Michael Biehn, who played Corporal Dwayne Hicks in Alien and Kyle Reese in The Terminator. Every line delivered by Biehn feels like an open apology for the bland and frankly upsetting nature of Aliens: Colonial Marines.
