Air Conflicts: Vietnam is an arcade-styled air-combat game that immerses players in the harrowing skies over Vietnam. Take to the air in screaming fighter jets or grab the controls of devastating helicopter gunships as you shatter enemy encampments with explosive ordinance, decimate North Vietnamese ace fighter squadrons, escort bombers as they deliver their deadly payload, or rescue stranded soldiers and deliver support troops to the ever-changing front lines of the vicious battlefield.

Vietnam. 1965. A long-simmering conflict escalates into a full-fledged war, and you are about to become a big part of it. Jump into the cockpit of some of the finest combat aircraft as young Joe Thompson, a newly minted U.S. Air Force pilot. He is brave, talented and ready to do his duty, but his experiences during this war will change him forever.

The game offers an extensive single-player campaign herein players will protect allied troops, launch assaults on enemy positions, engage in daring dogfights and much more. In online multiplayer, gamers can take to the skies in both American and Soviet-supplied North Vietnamese jets used during the conflict in furious eight-player aerial battles.

Air Conflicts: Vietnam will be released on the Xbox 360 later this year.

Xbox One Games To Retail For $59.99

Xbox_Console_F_Tilt_TransBG_RGB_2013

Microsoft’s Xbox One console…you know, the ONE causing all of the DRM and online check-fuss will have its games priced at the same cost as current top selling Xbox 360 titles. A Microsoft rep confirmed to Polygon “that Microsoft Studios games on Xbox One will be $59.99…” This is likely to not come at any surprise and expect UK/EU pricing to remain similar to current titles also.

The cost of games in the UK hasn’t really risen all that much with Master System / MegaDrive games in the 90’s costing £29.99 up to £39.99. The same figure also applied to N64, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 1 & 2, so it’s good news that for the eighth generation consoles pricing is to remain consistent and what gamers are used to paying.

Unfortunately nothing has yet been confirmed how much games will be to buy digitally from the Xbox One Store. Currently “Games on Demand” for the Xbox 360 is considered by myself and many to be a bit of a joke with games coming in much higher than retail which was once explained to be so that Microsoft are not treading on retailers toes. Higher pricing was in place to reflect convenience, despite not owning a physical copy, huge downloads being a bit inconvenient there have been a few sales in the past, but nothing to blow your socks off.

Should digital pricing be announced in the near future – we’ll keep you posted.
