The Christmas and rainy afternoon favourite is now available to play on the Xbox One, in the US and Canada only.
Retailing at $15, you can challenge your friends to some classic wordplay either locally, or over Xbox Live. You can also challenge computer controller opponents of varying difficulties, just to make it interesting.
If you’re feeling brave, and smart, enough, you can also challenge players across the globe, with a variety of exciting multiplayer modes.
US and Canada Xbox One owners can download it from the Xbox website now.
Zynga’s popular Words With Friends which is also similar to the immensely addictive Windows Phone game AlphaJax (Tag: Jason of Duty – you might have shared a few words with me already!), has been outed as an Xbox One compatible game via the Xbox 360’s very own dashboard. Basically it’s a form of Scrabble.
If you head straight to the HOME channel section, in the top right should be an “Xbox One” image which links to a specialised area detailing the new console set for launch later this year. Flicking through the different sections will bring you to the WHAT IT DOES section (*insert DRM joke here*) and the slider image clearly shows Words With Friends.
If you just want to see it for yourself then check out the image below.
I spotted it yesterday, but didn’t pay much attention, since Polygon has posted this as news – now so have we!
