I loved the Micro Machine games back in the day, and I am very excited to see it returning this year. And to whet my appetite a little more, Codemasters have released five new screenshots of Micro Machines World Series.
These screenshots have been described as “created in the game engine using in-game assets” so whilst there may be in-game representations of the visuals, they aren’t necessarily representative of the game in action. Still, they look good and certain get my motor running.
Styx: Shards of Darkness, the sequel to Cyanide Studios’ stealth ’em up, Master of Shadows, creeps back to Xbox One later this year, promising a new adventure with bigger production, tonnes of new features and a new engine: Unreal Engine 4.
And to tease us further are three new images, revealing a few of the many dangers your green anti-hero will have to face during his journey.
One of the hostile factions you will meet in the huge underground city of Korrangar is composed of the Dark Elves. Dark Elves were previously Elves who had to live without any amber for multiple generations. Slowly, they have been turning into fanatic and bloodthirsty creatures. They became masters in Quartz fabrication, a new, much more dangerous, source of power. They are also experts at goblin hunting and the Exterminator Dark Elf is proof of that. He has honed his skills to perfection, and is able to flush out pesky creatures hiding in dark corners and hard-to-reach places with toxic bombs.
If there’s an even more dangerous place than Korrangar, it would be Wildoran, the city of goblin hunters. Wildoran inhabitants are stout people wearing heavy armour – the powerful Dwarves. Styx is unable to breach their impenetrable defence, so you must innovate and adapt to disable or avoid them. Every dwarf also has a supernatural sense of smell, and is able to slowly track Styx as he moves from cover to cover.
And in the darkness other foes lie in wait.
We’ll be able to see more from Styx: Shards of Darkness during E3.
So if you are still mourning over the cancellation of the Batman Arkham Knight Batmobile edition from GAME, then we may be able to help with these stunning screenshots released during this years E3 in LA. Enjoy…
E3 was good for Mad Max, due to be released on 4th September this year on Xbox One and PC. The Eye of the Storm Story trailer depicts the merciless Wasteland tyrant Scrotus, who Max must overcome as he attempts to build the ultimate war vehicle and leave the madness of The Wasteland behind.
In addition to the trailer Warner Bros. released a batch of new stunning screenshots as seen below.
The long-awaited screenshot feature for Xbox One has been released in March’s preview program update (available now). Previously you could only share videos via message, your activity feed or twitter – now screenshots have been added it’s one less feature that the PS4 can boast over the Xbox One.
The update also sees the introduction of “suggested friends”, a list similar to what you might find on social media when looking for new people to add to your growing social network – the Xbox One activity feed is pretty much a version of twitter!
Here’s a list of what’s included in the update:
Sharing your name (additional options)
Tile transparency (additional options)
Privacy and online safety settings (additional options)

The revolution has begun! Sanctum 2: Road to Elysion, the first of four DLC expansion packs for the tower-defense/FPS hybrid Sanctum 2, launches today on Steam. From Swedish indie developers Coffee Stain Studios, Road to Elysion is centered around a new shadowy playable character, TSYGAN, as she reveals the sinister origins of the conflict on LOEK III. Delivering intricate maps, advanced new weapons, uniquely cool perks and sadistically enhanced enemies, Road To Elysion delivers a thrilling, intense chapter to the Sanctum universe.
We’ve packed Road to Elysion with a ton of new stuff. Above and beyond the gameplay additions we’ve incorporated into Road to Elysion, the new playable character TSYGAN adds an interesting, darker dimension to Sanctum 2 that I think our fans will love.
said Anton Westberg, CEO of Coffee Stain Studios.
Key Features Include
New Playable Character – TSYGAN, the “Rogue Insurgent”, reveals the sinister origins to the colonization of LOEK III.
Diverse Maps – Four new maps with exciting gameplay elements adding refreshing new tactics and replayability.
Two Mega Powered Weapons – Take hold of the Rapid-firing Gatling Laser & TSYGAN’s own handheld Ballista!
Two Distinct Towers – The Range Spire dramatically increases the reach of nearby offensive towers and the Slow Field Dispenser dramatically hinders the speed of enemies to make choke points more effective.
Enhanced Enemies – With new support monsters that heal and mutate the attacking horde and a vicious new aerial enemy boss, players must be prepared for this heightened challenge.
Additional Perks – Customize your character even more with six new perks, including a perk that gives you an in-game pet robot that will fight for you.
Combining key gameplay elements of both tower-defense and first-person shooter genres, Sanctum 2 players take on the role of an elite soldier whose mission is to protect the oxygen-producing Cores from hordes of deadly aliens who are threatened by their very existence. The new Road to Elysionexpansion pack delves deeper into the main storyline revealing a sinister secret behind the colonization of Loek III. Players set up defensive towers to take out the waves of attacking enemies and then jump head-on into the fray, either alone or as part of a squad in four-player co-op multiplayer.
