The Technomancer, the sci-fi roleplaying game being developed by Spider Games, has just released a new gameplay trailer. This trailer grants you further insight into the game set on Mars.
The gameplay trailer shows the true RPG nature of the game starting with the character creation screen. From here you can customise your appearance and make your first decisions about your characters development. Like any RPG, playing through the 40 odd hours of quests will earn experience points. These points can be traded to develop your character further in one of the 4 skill trees tied to 3 different combat stances. Recruit companions, craft new gear and armour and learn more talents as you progress through the story as the apprentice Technomancer, Zachariah.
You are a Technomancer, one of the most formidable warriors, harnessing destructive electrical powers through your implants. Your adventure will take you on a journey, you’ll create a unique hero (or anti-hero) and every decision you make bears consequences.
The Technomancer will be available June 21 for Xbox One.
Spiders, developer of The Technomancer the new post-apocalyptic RPG set in a cyberpunk world, today released more stunning screenshots from its game. Todays pictures show the Technomancer and his companions, arriving at Noctis, one of the last strongholds of civilization on Mars. Noctis is one of the many locations you will get to explore during your adventure. A “free city” that isolated itself from the War of Water which opposes the grand Companies such as Aurora and Abundance, Noctis still holds great dangers: bandits, pillagers, and some dangerous creatures who will put your warrior skills to the test.
For those who don’t know, The Technomancer is an RPG/Action that puts you on the run from the Secret Police and confronted by the harsh realities of the Red Planet, you must undertake a quest that takes you through tribal communities, cities lost under the ice, and dystopian shanties sprawled across Mars’ dusty embrace.
Faced with the cruelty of Mars’ iron-fist enforcers and wild-life, can you survive long enough to uncover the truth behind The Technomancer?
So if that hasn’t given you enough, Spiders Games and Focus Home Interactive have also announced that The Technomancer will be presented in more detail at E3 Los Angeles this June.
The Technomancer is staring at a 2016 release and we’ll endeavour to bring you more news on this exciting new RPG as it comes in.
A while back now I was given Orcs a collections of books written by Stan Nicholls in which the Orcs are the good guys and in which characters swear and speak in the lingo of the modern world, as opposed to some kind of alternate, Shakespearean-inspired universe. The books are a tongue in cheek tale of Orc valour and human treachery. Of Orcs and Men follows on from this trend, creating a world in which humans are the fanatical right wing seeking to purge the world of all mystical races. At the top of their list are Orcs (and Goblins).
