Star Wars The Last Jedi is the latest film to be given the Zen Studios Pinball FX3 makeover. The pack features Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: Ahch-To Island and will release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 17.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Survive a First Order onslaught as the Resistance, train Rey in the ways of the Force on Ahch-To, and defend Finn from Captain Phasma, blasting away at stormtroopers as BB-8. Jump a ramp to shoot down TIE fighters, fight off Kylo Ren’s TIE Silencer, and teach Rey that the Force isn’t just moving rocks!
Star Wars: Ahch-To Island – Luke Skywalker (reluctantly) welcomes you to his secluded hideaway. Train Rey in the ways of the Force, convince Luke to join the Resistance and help Chewbacca deal with some Porg problems. You’ll even get a taste of everyday life on the island as Luke, including reminiscing about his Rebellion days through R2-D2’s hologram projections. And when the lights go off during a multiball mode? Let’s just hope the Force is with you…
EA have announced that they have purchased Respawn Entertainment, developers responsible for the Titanfall games. The price, well it’s a cool $455 million apparently, and the dev will continue with its current projects thought to be an unannounced Titanfall 3, the announced Star Wars game, and a VR project for the Oculus.
The news comes just weeks after EA closed their Visceral studio, and stopped work on the Amy Hennig Star Wars game, which was surprising at the time, but now seems to be linked to this news. Apparently, Korean publisher Nexon had made an offer to buy Respawn previously which then activated a contract clause giving EA first refusal, which they obviously took advantage of.
Lets hope that Respawn doesn’t go the way of Visceral, and that their high quality of games developed is up to the standard of their previous work. Oh, and EA, please give Titanfall 3 a much nicer release date than 2 was given!
Star Wars Battlefront 2 officially releases on 17th November but the Beta starts TODAY, October 4th. So how do you play and what’s available in the beta?
Although it starts today, that’s only for those of you who have pre-ordered the game. For those lucky people it’s available to start playing from 9am, so the most astute of you will already be knee-deep in Stormtroopers! For those of us who haven’t pre-ordered, the beta goes live from 9am on Friday 6th October. It is due to finish on October 9th at around midnight UK time.
Galactic Assault on Naboo, fighting as either Clone Troopers or the Separatists over the Royal Palace
Strike on Takodana, where First Order Troopers and Resistance Forces battle over Maz’s castle
Starfighter Assault above Fondor, where Resistance Forces and the Galactic Empire duke it out in space battles, trying to destroy or defend a Star Destroyer
There are also daily challenges available to complete, and every player of the beta will get a Founders Crate reward filled with goodies as a thank you from the developers, including credits, an exclusive emote for Darth Maul, and a rare trooper Star Card to give them a head start in battle.
Loads of news happening in the gaming world about Star Wars Battlefront 2 and its predecessor at the moment with Battlefront DLC available on EA Access. Now EA have announced that the Battlefront 2 beta will be running from the 6th to the 9th October, or, if you pre-order, available 2 days earlier, running 4th October through to the 9th.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is released on 17th November 2017, and subscribers to EA Access will be able to play about a week earlier!
The beta lets you play 2 game modes;
Galactic Assault on Naboo – This is a 40-player battle on the streets of Theed. You choose from four trooper classes: Assault, Heavy, Officers and Specialists. There well may be some surprises too, with the possibility of classic heroes and vehicles available.
Starfighter Assault. This lets you take part in a space battle set during the original trilogy era. You pilot various Star Wars ships in an objective-based, multi-stage battle.
We saw the Galactic Assault level at E3, and it did look quite special.
