State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition for Xbox One

In Spring 2015, Xbox One gamer’s can experience what has been described as the definitive version of State of Decay with the Year-One Survival Edition. Undead Labs’ hit game from the Xbox 360 is undergoing an evolution for the Xbox One in which more will be revealed closer to the games release next year.

It was confirmed that the State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will include the original State of Decay, in 1080p, the DLC Add-on packs Breakdown and Lifeline, and finally some entirely new content.

With game breaking technical issues, promises just not delivered upon and a promising start but ultimately weak narrative SoD could have been so much more. That said it was a massively impressive first attempt for Undead Labs, I look forward to hearing from them on game add-ons and developments.

When more specific details of release have been provided, we’ll keep you updated. ThisisXbox may not have been fans of the original last year before DLC and updates were inroduced, but we should hopefully have an Xbox One review closer to release.

State of Decay – Lifeline Confirmed as Second Major Expansion

“Throw Me a Lifeline” say’s Undead Labs as the next major expansion for their State of Decay title is currently in progress. The second expansion pack is titled State of Decay: Lifeline, which has no final release date as of yet! That’s a “YET”, so just have some patience!

Quoted by Undead Labs on their blog:

We are just now digging into the internal playtest process (which is how our favorite stalkers players on Steam found out about the title a couple of days ago – with PC testing, we are playing using Steam, so we can experience it the way you do). We’re not yet ready to discuss features or make promises. All we can tell you is that it will offer you a new way to play your favorite survival game, that we intend to launch on PC and the Xbox 360 at the same time, and that yes, it will broaden your horizons by a few kilometers.

The next update will bring with it a whole new map too, but no further comment was added other than the tease of new content.
