Destiny: The Collection announced for Xbox One

So with the dust finally settled on Gamescom and the whirlwind of news that has come through for so many games in the past few weeks including Destiny, it’s now time to settle down and start piecing together what has happened. Late for the party I know but let’s start with the Destiny: The Collection announcement.

As we all know Destiny’s next expansion Rise of the Iron is due next month and so to entice more newcomers to the game Bungie and Activision Publishing Inc. have announced Destiny: The Collection. This five in one set contains every release from the award-winning action shooter franchise to date. That’s, Destiny, The Dark Below, The House of Wolves, The Taken King and even the new large expansion, Destiny: Rise of Iron, for those that didn’t know. For legacy gen players, Destiny: The Collection marks the opportunity to transition to playing Destiny on a current gen system through the upgrade programme which runs until 31st January, 2017.

As an added treat, players who pre-order Destiny: The Collection or Rise of Iron will receive the black and silver Iron Gjallarhorn, a fan favourite weapon making its return to power. Those that pre-order digitally or at select retailers will also receive the Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow.
