First Impressions Video: Hand of Fate

It’s time again for another First Impressions video, this time looking at the unique mixture of Rougelike, CCG, and action that Hand of Fate has to offer.

This extra long episode sees Video Editor, Greg Giddens, take on the first two boss encounters, whilst learning the ropes of what we believe to be a highly innovative, genre mashing success.

First Impressions Video: #iDARB

What’s the first instance of playing a new videogame like? Well if Greg’s experience is anything to go by it’s funny, confusing, and full of swearing.

Join us for another episode of First Impressions, this time Greg Giddens tries #IDARB on the Xbox One.

#IDARB is due for release in February 2015 on Xbox One, and will be part of the Xbox Games with Gold promotion for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

Xbox One All-in-One Demo

Marc Whitten and Yusuf Mehdi walk through a comprehensive demo of Xbox One, including instant switching, biometric sign-in, Live TV, Skype, game DVR, and the new OneGuide.

The OneGuide helps you see what’s available in your apps and manage your favorites and will include Favourites and App Channels. App Channels are like TV channels for video apps and show what’s available in your favorite apps without leaving what you’re already watching on TV. OneGuide will launch in the UK in 2014.

Today Microsoft shared the very first wave of some of the biggest names in entertainment, coming to Xbox One, including 4oD, LOVEFiLM, blinkbox, Eurosport, Demand 5, Netflix, NOW TV. Just like on Xbox 360, new apps will be rolling out on a regular basis.

Infinity Ward Confirm Squads and Dynamic Maps for all versions of CoD: Ghosts

Infinity Ward are teasing Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer before the world wide reveal on August 14th this year. On twitter Mark Rubin (Exec Producer) confirmed that previously thought next-gen only dynamic maps are now an inclusion on current-gen platforms.

The video above is the first official confirmation that Squads will be a multiplayer feature for Call of Duty: Ghosts and we are assuming this is the “co-operative mode of sort” that was teased by the studio’s community co-ordinator, Candice Capen a few weeks back. Squads obviously use more than one player and could likely focus more attentive team work action in specific playlists?

When more information is confirmed we’ll keep you soldiers posted…
